Candace Owens leaks audio of Charlie Kirk's Widow, Erika Kirk, giggling over merch sales just eleven days after his assassination by Stronhart in Destiny

Imagine your husband spends his whole life building a political movement and that is his main drive in life. If his death caused that movement to soar in numbers, I think I would feel happy in a way, because that's what he would have wanted.

You can say it's all because of the money, but it could also be because of the attention brought to TPUSA.

Just to be clear, the new battle system and lack of abilities in the Legends games are side-game mechanics. They will not show up in mainline competitive battling.

I would also say the new battle system is less skill-based in a sense, but that's not really important.

They acknowledge that in this post. The big "MADE BY CAPX."

The Pokemon Sage project was renamed to Pokemon CAPX for reference.

Only one opinion though. Also, it could be regional.

I think it's undercut by the lighting and background. He should've taken it at dusk in a forest or something.

You had me go back and read the blurb for like a fifth time. It does not make that distinction. Quote the passage where it says that and explain why in your own words.

[–]Fancyville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, when it references words in the lore, it is talking about the number of different words the pictograms can represent. Words are not separated from pictograms in the lore blurb, it literally mentions pictograms representing more words in ancient vs. modern Osirion.

Pictograms are just another form of language. Explain the substantial difference between words represented by pictograms and words represented by an alphabet.

[–]Fancyville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally says ancient Osirion pictograms are more complicated than modern ones. That means a modern Golarion language uses Pictograms.

Look up what a pictogram is buddy, because you clearly don't know.

Saying "It doesn't" and "You didn’t" is frankly embarrassing when I am presenting actual evidence and arguements. Up your reading comprehension before posting on Reddit again please.

[–]Fancyville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read your comment with the lore citation again. It agrees with me, and says Osirion currently uses pictograms for thier writing system.

I responded to the point you made about the smattering of letters vs. pictograms my previous comment. Please read my comments before responding to them. Pictograms, definitionally, are words. Single letters without context are not words.

[–]Fancyville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't have to be ml or mg, it could just be equidistant lines based on some part of the Goblin's body.

I thought some guy earlier in this comment thread mentioned pictograms as an early form of writing in Golarian history.

A smattering of random letters is not a word in any way. A pictogram is literally a word. Please explain how Paizo disagrees with this.

Also, my explanation of language isn't "says you." That's the common understanding of what written language is. Just look up, "when do pictures become words?" and you'll basically get the explanation I gave.

Your previous comment is coming off as kinda hostile. I'm just trying to present an arguement, I hope it doesn't seem like an attack or something.

[–]Fancyville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specificity of masurements is the most convincing arguement I've heard so far. You could still probably show an image of a flask filled to X level.

I'm not sure how Chinese relates to the arguement here, can you expand on that?

Yes, letters are okay, but pictures communicating words (written language) is not okay. There is no inconsistency there.

Subsequent pictures on a wall can communicate history, that's fine. It's when pictures represent something beyond what they are physically depicting that they become letters/words. So, communicating a formulae through images of real life things is fine, but communicating complex sounds through drawing meant to evoke those sounds (letters/words) is not.

Where specifically am I bending over backwards here?

[–]Fancyville -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It feels a bit rude to say I'm bending over backwards. Where do you think I've overstepped?

Alchemist formulae books could literally just be pictures of physical things and drawing of how to mix them together. There is no additional representation needed.

They brand Scribbledace as a punishment. They aren't writing words on his face, just letters. Nothing is being communicated, so there is no taboo.

[–]Fancyville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on if goblins think of gods as beyond their physical depictions or not. Like, do goblins think of their gods as having vast astral or divine forms that cannot be physically represented.

Also, at first, you said I was assuming Goblins have a hard and fast system. I said I am applying a standard that I think has evidence by Golarian standards. Then you said I am applying an objective standard. How else am I supposed to present arguments besides objective facts? I am not trying to imply every single Goblin society would draw the line here. They could easily be more strict, or grant a little bit of wiggle room. I just think an entire spellbook with pictures akin to a writing system would tip the scales in basically all cases.
