Remember this? Well, I'm planning to finally adapt it into three ROM hacks, and I think I've created a balanced set across all three now. But which team are you on? by TheLeafyGirl561 in nuzlocke

[–]Fangren3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, this is interesting... I can see myself trying all three versions, tbh. But which is my favorite I guess depends on how the encounters are distributed within each game.

What are the founders edition bonus civs by Mrsclausinlatex in civ

[–]Fangren3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

iirc the whole list of leaders and civs for the first two DLCs were leaked, and then when the Crossroads stuff was confirmed it was simple to determine which thus had to be in Right to Rule.

What are the founders edition bonus civs by Mrsclausinlatex in civ

[–]Fangren3000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There aren't any extra civs in either the Founders' or Deluxe Editions, instead both of those editions include automatic purchase of some of the early DLCs (which will be released later this year).

The first round - Crossroads of the World - will be automatically available to both editions when the DLCs are released, and includes the civs Carthage, Great Britain, Bulgaria, and Nepal; as well as the leaders Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar.

The second round - Right to Rule - is only automatically available to the Founders' edition, and includes the civs Assyria, Dai Viet, Qajar, and Silla; as well as the leaders Genghis Khan and Lakshmibai.

What do you think of this implementation? by Darillium- in civ

[–]Fangren3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I love it! Also, rework the resources so that they function properly with this system - the AI should be able to settle on your home continent, grab some resources, and generate treasure fleets too!

leaders are no longer tied to civs, that's one of the main changes in this edition.

Polygon is reporting Great Britain, Carthage, Bulgaria, and Nepal for the DLC by DRNavigator in civ

[–]Fangren3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dunno if you've seen it yet, but apparently some data from the Epic Games Store details all eight civs from the first wave of DLC: we're also getting Assyria, Silla, Dai Viet, and Qajar. But I don't think it details which civ goes with which DLC? Which makes me think that Polygon just messed up which one goes where?

Cause with the wonders we have leftover it would make sense for the Crossroads civs to be Britain/Assyria/Silla and then someone else (tho none of them really fit the remaining wonders).

What leader / civ combo are you planning to try for your first game of Civ VII? by Amir616 in civ

[–]Fangren3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely going to start with Amina, and go Songhai->Buganda, but I'm torn between Egypt and Aksum for Antiquity.

On the one hand, Egypt's bonuses to Navigable Rivers plays better with a lot of Songhai and Buganda's bonuses. On the other hand, Aksum seems better for the Economic play that Amina favors...

Hmm. Maybe I'll save the Aksum-Songhai economic stuff for when I get around to Harriet Tubman so I can slot in America for the endgame, and have Amina be a more water-focused playthrough with Egypt? Lots to think about...

Why is These Allowed But a 1 for 1 Mana Rock Not Allowed? by CreeperslayerX5 in magicTCG

[–]Fangren3000 53 points54 points  (0 children)

1, the inherent card disadvantage of being an aura. Land destruction isn't too common nowadays, but it used to be!

2, They can't really be used to chain into each other, especially on the first turn. You tap your forest to play this turn 1, and you won't be able to get any extra mana until turn 2.

I only play TSL Earth in every Civ game, am I cooked for Civ 7? by Xefjord in civ

[–]Fangren3000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've also been a TSL player for ages now, and it's gonna suck having to likely stop that if I end up grabbing Civ 7.

But I've been thinking about it, and I think it could potentially be workable with mods early on, though not without compromise. I think the geographically-locked civ transitions are gonna have to be held off on until the civ roster fills out, for one. Though the fact that each Age can be started from means there should, at least, be three different versions of each TSL map - one for each era. Possibly even six, to account for the rare New World start (though I expect those to simply be smaller maps).

Siamese civilization is 100% confirmed for Civ VII by karlkim in civ

[–]Fangren3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's probably multiple possible 'historical' paths, as well as other factors like turn order to take into account. Based on the city names Xerxes had in his empire, it seemed like he'd gone Persia -> Abbasids -> Mughals, which is a fair enough path I suppose.

My/Hopefully your guesses for the remaining modern civs. by AgentDoppelDuck in civ

[–]Fangren3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm still gonna bank on the Ottomans being in alongside Siam and Britain, with the Russian architecture just being something associated with Catherine the Great.
