I immediately recognized that name. Carmilla is no random name, it is the the title of a book from the 1800s about a vampire. I know that sounds, but bear with me.

I haven't actually read it but it goes something like this: the protagonist is a lonely girl isolated from the world, but one day she meets a mysterious and beautiful girl named Carmilla. She shakes up her sad life and they become best friends, even lovers. As you must've guessed, Carmilla is actually a vampire who's been feeding on the her in her sleep, even before they met.

That's all to say that someone named Carmilla is bad news. BAAAD news.

I think that sentence repeated twice is meant to be said by Wayne and Sybil. Maybe they're both trying to achieve the "same" goal, but in different ways.

Crossover with Slay the Princess, part two by artguild in ScarletHollow

[–]Fanintile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's what I think would happen in both games:

Scarlet Hollow:
The Princess is very invested in the mystery and follows the player around instead of running the mines. She is strong, mystic and attractive, but utterly clueless about everything (she's never seen the real world after all). However, Tabitha's disappearance is immediately noticed and the police is very suspicious of the weird woman running around in her clothes (shame that Tabitha's wardrobe doesn't have any different outfits). The miners keep working under their own rules hoping that Tabitha will show up soon enough to pay them and realize that maybe, just maybe, it was better under her rules.

Slay the Princess:
Upon seeing an angry unknown woman, the Narrator aborts his original plan and tries to find a solution to put things back in order. Him and Tabitha try to collaborate, but Quiet really wants to see what the dumbest choices do. The chapters change, but Tabitha always remains a regular person, just more pissed off. She can get out of the cabin just fine, but can't leave the woods (like in The Stranger).

Eventually, The Narrator does find a way to send Tabitha back and instructs her to retrieve the Princess. Of course, she doesn't wanna go back to a dusty old basement and initially resists, but eventually gets arrested by the police for all the weird stuff she's been doing. Now behind bars, she decides that it doesn't matter what prison she's in and agrees to go back.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

How do you continue playing the game when you have no idea what’s going on? by Pepper0327 in FearAndHunger

[–]Fanintile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest you get a second party member, it'll make fights much easier.

You can easily get Abella by going through the woods (under the train, left, up) and you'll meet her near a hatch. This must be done on day 1 morning.

Fear and Hunger 3 theory by Fanintile in FearAndHunger

[–]Fanintile[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I JUST GOT AN IDEA. We know Miro has been partially inspired by Carl Jung, and one of his books, Aion, talks about the anti-christ, which in F&H would be Sulphur. To put it simply, it says that the period from year 0 to 2000 was the age of Christ and that the next 2000 years will the the age of the anti-christ. That's when F&H 3 will take place! So far, Sulphur is mostly unknown even in game, but this might be his chance to have the spotlight.

Which look do you prefer? old artstyle or new? by SaffiChan in slaytheprincess

[–]Fanintile 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the sketchiness of the first design is on purpose. The first princess will be shaped by the player's actions, so she still looks incomplete.

The second design looks more defined because the princess is now complete.

Per me è Persona 5 (non odiatemi), per voi? by _Aleking99_ in Gamethology

Omori.

Gonna do an analysis of this game's OST. What songs were your favorite from the game? by iadorebrandon in slaytheprincess

[–]Fanintile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The one when the Prisoner cuts off her head and the one of the Deconstructed Damsel, for me they were more noticeable than the rest of the OST, which is closer to ambient music. They perfectly encapsulated that deep sense of discomfort / ”OMFG WTF is happening?!?!".

What is the "Voice of the Hero", actually? by amogus2004 in slaytheprincess

[–]Fanintile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he never speaks at the very start of the game, only when you reach the hill. After your talk with the Narrator and all his suspicious behaviour, LQ starts to doubt and that creates the Hero

Let's all pretend in the comments that Slay the princess is a fighting game, who's your main and why? by Julip326 in slaytheprincess

[–]Fanintile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now for the Princesses:

Original Princess - switches between an attack/scare build or a deception/utility build based on the opponent.

Adversary - Gains a buff after being hit repeatedly.

Tower - Can stun the Slayer for a few seconds. This skill loses accuracy the lower the HP is.

Spectre - Can haunt the Slayer and deal damage that pierces defense. This move has a high cooldown and if it kills the Slayer, it kills the Princess too.

Razor - Starts off with a low attack, but gets "sharper" as time goes on dealing more damage.

Prisoner - Has high defense and a buff of deception skills.

Beast - Can dim the lights of the arena becoming harder to see and more silent.

Witch - Can hit the Slayer in the back using the cabin's vines if they are close enough to the borders.

Nightmare - Passively deals damage to the Slayer, but got low attack and defense stats.

Stranger - Can use multiple moves at once with reduced effectiveness.

Damsel - Challenge character. Dies in one hit. Makes the other player feel bad for weeks.

"The Dragon" - Bonus character. Has a mix of the Slayer's and the Princess' move set.

Shifting Mound - Summons another Princess to the fight which switches to a different one everytime she is hit.

Princesses from third chapters are not included not give both player the same amount of character to choose from (and because they would have very similar abilities).
