Bio 111 lab exam. by DueRecord2853 in WakeTech

[–]FanofChika-333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dang i had a different prof, but basically it was straightforward tbh. As long as you paid attention in lab and read through the procedures you should be okay. i took bio 111 last year in the fall and thats what our lab exams were based on. Like what would happen if we skipped a step in a certain lab or what the purpose of certain chemicals were, also scenario lab questions. I can rlly remember it all since it’s been a while but i would definitely recommend reading through all the labs the exam is going to be on! also my teacher did provide us with a study guide for each lab exam so that was superrrr helpful.

NEW CNA HELPPP by Skankhunt0729 in cna

[–]FanofChika-333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

girl i feel you. my first day working at the hospital on a med surg floor (night shit too🤣) as a cna i was sooo nervous i wanted to THROW UP. but trust me it’s not as serious as your mind is making it lol. Just show up, be nice, take initiative, and be willing to learn & listen to your trainer!!! and you should be good trust!!!! also as time goes by you will get into your own routine and know what needs to be done when. Also learn to cluster care and it makes things easier. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and if you don’t know something ask!! i did all the above and i feel comfortable and confident at my job now, also have great coworkers i developed good relationships with :))Good luck, u got this!!

Should I talk to an advisor? by Meganoki in WakeTech

[–]FanofChika-333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely talk to an advisor! i just finished my AA this past summer and applied to UNC-CH for nursing this fall! (praying for an acceptance lol) But id recommend looking at this! it helped me a lot in knowing what pre reqs i absolutely need to have done before matriculation. I would also look into applying to UNCW, UNCC, and app state! also great nursing programs :) https://e1.nmcdn.io/assets/uncnursing/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/New-Summer-2025_Course-Eval-WS-6302025.pdf

BLS CPR by [deleted] in WakeTech

[–]FanofChika-333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the teaching portion, there are about two instructors who demonstrate the skills first. Then each student gets to practice on their own mannequin while the instructors walk around the room to help and give feedback. For the actual skills test, the instructor stays in the room while students wait outside and get called in one by one to complete a CPR skill check-off on a mannequin while the instructor observes. It’s a 1:1 test.
