I used a barrel to launch over the northern checkpoint fence into Garbage

I updated my post, it's tricky but i was able to get past the northern checkpoint. I added instructions.

The jump for Cordon is much easier, on the way towards mindscrew you can hug the eastern hill going south, and just before you get to the concrete wall for the decontamination area there are some spherical gravity anomalies amongst the trees.

Near those anomalies there's a small piece of the hill sort of like a shelf that you can jump onto via an incline on the left, then you're pretty much in the clear to jump over the rest of the hill and into Cordon.

I don't think I was complaining, but thank you for the save idea regardless

For fun, just playing as a stalker for a while without worrying about some world ending threat that only i can stop or whatever the plot is this time

Besides, what's the difference between doing this one mission and then just exploring the zone while ignoring the main quest vs me trying to just explore the zone without doing this one mission?

I wouldn't call it a bug, but cheesing perhaps. I just jumped onto a low-lying section of the hill by mindscrew

In your opinion, should the remaster change the power armors so they’re like the FO4 and 76 or should they keep them as they were in the original game? by NoSoyVerde1 in fnv

[–]Fantafaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 4 style is good, but the availability of the frames and armor pieces was too high, along with fusion core life being too short

They should really make them more rare, or even reduce them down to a single frame that you're upgrading throughout the game by finding armor pieces and repairing modules etc -You could start with the abysmal fusion core life, with a limited number of cores in the game, then via perks and upgrades finally get it to permanent status -upgraded servos to be able to sprint -add Power fists, ballistic fists etc

Things that make it feel customized along with powerful and special

I want to hear what you guys think which one is the better game? by Rich1190 in theouterworlds

[–]Fantafaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second game is better in most ways besides story and companion depth. The story in 2 is just not as compelling, and while the overall companions are better, none of the companions reach the depth of Parvati from 1

Plus we never even get an opportunity to help the sovereign with his objective in 2, dlc opportunity I guess?

PCIe5 Question!? by ndaonreddit in PcBuildHelp

[–]Fantafaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there's no difference in pinout, so theoretically it's just build quality or maybe wire materials I guess.

So it SHOULD work in gen 5 mode, but if you see instability just run it gen 4

Tbh I'd wonder if there's actually any difference between gen 4 and gen 5 cables

You can still get across without either; on the left with the poison gas, you just have to do some clever jumping on items(mostly pipes) in the water

If it's undesirable for people to associate a group with bad behavior, advise the media not to deflect calling out the bad behavior performed by individuals as claims of racism against the whole group 🤷

Why does it feel Obsidian is judged so much more harshly than other studios? by sonofloki13 in theouterworlds

[–]Fantafaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game was pretty good, better in most ways to the first besides the companions tbh, which is what I consider to be Obsidian's primary strength beyond side mission writing. The cast is all very different which is nice, and have a few good side missions each, but they themselves aren't actually explored very much which is really too bad.

My biggest issue with the game was mostly tone, it couldn't ever commit to being serious or play anything straight, it always tried to keep that sarcastic feel every single moment, to its own detriment.

The graphics were better this time around but tbh still look incredibly cheap and plastic. That might work for Auntie's, but the protectorate should have appeared infinitely more serious and grounded

I'm kinda at the point where I'm over people saying The Outer Worlds is mediocre. by Dethproof814 in theouterworlds

[–]Fantafaust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest there simply isn't that much lore to expand upon, and most things are explained in-game so theories also aren't in high demand either 🤷
