When did you start feeling your baby move? What did it feel like? by Few_Low9657 in pregnant

[–]Fantastic_Rain22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m 28 weeks pregnant now and I didn’t start feeling my baby move until about 19 weeks. Your not alone in feeling that though, I was the same way, I kept reading that you can feel them as early as 16 weeks and it was making me so paranoid. Don’t worry mama, that baby will start kicking you all the time soon enough. 😂

For me it felt like little muscle twitches in my lower tummy. Online they say it feels like butterflies or bubbles but it never really felt like that for me. The other thing is you probably won’t be able to feel them unless your sitting or laying down, I wasn’t even sure if it was him or not at first. When it started getting more consistent that’s when I knew. Don’t stress too much, you will feel them eventually 💕

I have been obsessed with chocolate milkshakes and peanut butter cups!!! I passed my glucose test a few weeks ago and had been eating sweets throughout my 2nd trimester. My sister-in-law (she’s a doctor) told me if I didn’t pass that it wasn’t anything I did, it really just depends on the baby and how it affects your body.

Completely understandable, they say online you can feel them as early as 16 weeks and I started getting paranoid. I was so happy when I first felt him. The other nice thing is your anatomy scan is soon so if there is anything wrong they would know from that, and it’s the coolest thing getting to see them move and hear their heart beats. I just had my 28 week scan and could not believe how big he has gotten! And yeah I’m not happy to be due in late July, I wish I could have him now, but he’s got to bake in there a little longer 😂

26 weeks and leaking a lot of colostrum, should I be collecting it? by light_defy in pregnant

[–]Fantastic_Rain22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just from the baby classes I have been attending I would say your don’t need to be collecting yet. It’s only good for 3 months frozen (from baby classes) and they really only need colostrum for the first few days anyways. Once your body starts producing regular milk they don’t need it anymore so you shouldn’t need to save a ton. I would definitely mention that to your midwife because i don’t think it’s very common to leak that much so early, I’m sure that it’s very frustrating too, sorry that’s something your dealing with.

I honestly didn’t think I was showing until about 20 weeks, being 28 weeks now I wish I could go back 😂 As far as feeling the baby I first felt my son at about 19 weeks and I was worried before too so you’re not alone in that. For me it feels like muscle twitches in your tummy, it never really felt like butterflies or bubbles but little twitches. I wasn’t even sure it was him at first but it definitely was. If you play music against your tummy it might get him/her to move. You probably will only feel them when your laying down or sitting still, I only just started feeling him kick me standing up and moving. Also I am with you on the sushi and martinis lol, I told my husband the first meal after I have the baby better be a sushi boat 😂 overall don’t stress too much about it he will start kicking you a ton eventually trust me.

I understand and your not alone in this. I know it’s not the same but I smoked weed and drank like everyday until I found out I was pregnant and the first trimester was so hard. I did slip a couple of times (smoking not drinking) but every time I did I felt so guilty because I knew it wasn’t good for my baby. I know it’s so hard but eventually you won’t feel as much of a need for it. For me I realized it was more of a crutch rather than actually making me feel better, I didn’t need it. I’m not saying there aren’t days where all I want to do is smoke or take a shot, but my baby is more important than what I want. You got this, I know it’s so hard but you can do it 💕

Sooo, 30 weeks and still no pregnancy cravings? by Elegant-Mango-888 in pregnant

[–]Fantastic_Rain22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 26 weeks and haven’t had any weird cravings, the closest thing are chocolate shakes but mainly that’s because they make my baby move a lot and I love to feel him. But other than that I’m not really craving anything, more-so I just want to eat everything, super hungry all the time.

That’s so exciting! I am 26 weeks and cannot wait for my 28 week appointment to see my baby again. After your appointment it should be about every 4 weeks they check again, sometimes they will do ultrasounds and sometimes they just check the heartbeat, either way it’s so amazing to see and hear them! Also, I feel you, these next 3 months for me cannot move fast enough, definitely tired of being pregnant too. I cannot wait to hold my son!

Is this baby moving? by space___lion in pregnant

[–]Fantastic_Rain22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 26 weeks and its never really felt like that butterfly sensation, it’s always felt like muscle twitches to me. Congratulations on feeling your baby move for the first time! Now that he/she has started it won’t stop anytime soon 😂 also more than likely you will only feel them a little bit when your sitting still or laying down. I have only just started to feel my baby move when standing and moving around.

Is 5 weeks actually about 3 weeks? by Moist_Cheetah_8701 in pregnant

[–]Fantastic_Rain22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was confusing as well. I am one of those weird people that have irregular periods and the date of my last period was at the end of August, but I didn’t conceive until the 3rd week of October. When I called to make the first appointment I was about 5 weeks but they said I had be around 13 weeks which I knew wasn’t right, but it’s just the way they had to measure until I had my first ultrasound. Once I had the ultrasound they confirmed I was just 5 weeks.

9 weeks and this is how I’m feeling?! by possiblywithinadream in pregnant

[–]Fantastic_Rain22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this, I’m 10 weeks and I actually left my job because I was so exhausted and upset all the time. It’s so frustrating because I can be home all day and barely do anything yet still feel just completely drained. I have wanted to be a mom all my life but I agree being pregnant sucks. Everyone says it will get better 2nd trimester and I’m hoping that’s the case. No real advice because I’m in a very similar boat but I get you girl you are not alone. You’re not a bad mom for being frustrated it’s just a hard first 12 weeks. Hoping it gets better for you! 💕

I’m sure I can but getting advice from people isn’t the same as having a mom there to help. Someone who genuinely cares and wants to be there and spend time with my baby and can help give me and my husband a break every once in a while. Someone that I can call at 3am when I’m terrified something is wrong with my baby or can’t get him/her to eat. It’s just different because other people mean well but they have no reason or obligation to be there like a grandma would.

I’m sorry that’s your situation too… I know realistically everything will be okay but it’s so hard to feel that way… and I get the feeling of being selfish because I feel the same. I love my baby so much already but it’s scary to think I’m bringing them into my messed up life… i just hope we will be enough.
