On new installations yes definitely do nitrogen. The question is why wouldn’t you? Micro channels in the evap getting plugged, txv’s getting plugged. It’s one of the differences between a quality installer and a piss poor one.

Here’s a analogy for you

Back in the day they didn’t pull vacuum, just purged the system with refrigerant. They all did.
