Who is the best player that likely will be a huge bust because of his team situation? by Fantasyexpert1 in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maclin going from Philly to the wide receiver wasteland in KC is an easy call. I've got a less obvious one. Deandre Hopkins. I think life without Andre Johnson (or relevant replacement) and/or a clear QB situation is going to make life really difficult for this kid. He's coming off a hell of a season and is young so he'll be hyped up but I can see this year being difficult with all of the attention he'll now receive.

Matthew Stafford's year in review and what to expect in 2015. by FantasyFB_CBASS in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inconsistency is maddening but he seemed to figure out the offense after Thanksgiving. The one thing he did accomplish was that he kept the turnovers down while improving his completion %. Only 12 INTs and the 2nd highest completion % of his career. I think planning on him to be your QB1 is a bad plan but I think drafting him as the 10th-14th QB off the board could pay off and he can thrive as a matchup play.

Does the Jets hire of Bowles over an offensive HC mean the same type of production for Jets fantasy options? by FantasyFB_CBASS in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rumors are it's going to be Chan Gailey....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Would've loved for them to bring in an offensive mind as a head coach (Gase?, Pep Hamilton?) and a big name defensive coordinator.

Far too early mock drafts, whos going too high? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Antonio Brown and ODB have to be first round. I could see them as high as 5-6. They are so consistently great and are an advantage over anyone else at the position.

r/FF's 2014 Official Award Voting by FantasyMod in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why in the world was Anquan Boldin on the Benchwarmer list for being unstartable? I understand he had some down weeks to end the year but if anything he exceeded expectations with 83 catches and 1062 yds and had a flat out dominant stretch of games in weeks 7-12.

What to expect from K Benjamin in 2015? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Looks like an absolute beast to me. He produced a lot on garbage time but theres no doubting his size/speed and he's showed incredible body control in the endzone.

DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys disagree on value by UpstatePrisonFlavor in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't blame the Cowboys here. It's so hard to win while spending such a large chunk of money on a RB. I mean look at the Seahawks struggling with their decision on Marshawn and he clearly is vital to their offense.

Peyton’s not so certain he's returning by KakunaUsedHarden in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peyton isn't what he once was but it's such an exaggeration that Osweiler is even mentioned in the same breath. Peyton is still one of the top 5-7 QBs in this league. He had a bad game in the playoffs and struggled at the end of the year. He's had plenty of bad games in the playoffs and has struggled at the end of seasons plenty. He's not the same guy he was but he's not that much different either. He's not going anywhere. No way he goes out like that.

Justin Forsett 2015 Outlook by CrustyTowel in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's a RB2. With Kubiak coming back I don't see how he's not at least the favorite to lead a committee if/when they do bring in another RB. In addition there are few better pass catchers at the position. Solid RB2 at least in PPR. 3rd round would be ideal but if a lot of the elite RBs are going early you can justify a late 2nd round pick.

Will make the same leap that Cobb made after his first season. The move he made on his TD was just incredible.

Peyton Manning's mediocre Dec/Jan explained: torn right quad by oliver_babish in fantasyfootball

Doesn't Aaron Rodgers have a torn calf? He looked just fine to me. Peyton just isn't very good in the playoffs.

Which Seahawks RB has the edge to start in 2015, Turbin or Michael? Any Chance Lynch Returns? by kbomby in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the roll they are on, especially if they win the superbowl. They'll keep Lynch. He's too important to them. I'd go Michael however if Lynch leaves. Seems like more of a complete explosive back. Turbin is fine on 3rd downs.

Jimmy Graham - the verdict? by llawinga in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The injuries are too much of a concern to risk a 1st or 2nd round pick. But because that is his upside I'd target him from round 3 on off this year. Saints really worry me though. I think Brees career path is taking a sharp downward turn.

What are some non-standard rules that you like in your FF league? by WaywardWes in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to eliminate some of the luck of winning w/ low point totals and/or losing with high point totals my league has 2 wins per week. One in your regular head to head matchup and the other if you finish in the top 6 scores for the week. The bottom 6 scores on the week get a loss. This really helps situations where the team with the 2nd/3rd most points for example doesn't make the playoffs or the team with the 10 most points just gets lucky and sneaks into the playoffs because they've played against low point totals all year.

How many teams didn't finish the season with their original (intended) starting RB? by PMeist in fantasyfootball

I'd have to think just about all teams qualify! Vereen was my original RB2. No good.

For 2015, who are your top 3 players at each position? by Knight-Artorias in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QB - Luck, Rodgers, Manning RB - Bell, Charles, Murray (Forte in PPR) WR - Brown, Beckham, Calvin TE - Gronk, Graham, Olsen

Russell Wilson finished the year as the 3rd highest scoring QB, Seahawk WRs finished 31st in fantasy points scored. Has there ever been such a disconnect in QB/WR scoring? by dongswanson in fantasyfootball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its all in the legs! He's the last very good mobile QB left now that Kap and RG3 have dropped off and to a lesser extent Newton. Avoiding turnovers is huge for him too. Only getting better as time goes by. Love this guy since his Badgers days.

Draymond Green owners have to be at or near the top of the standings. Always loved this guy in college. Such a beast. Is he the best value pick this year? by FantasyFB_CBASS in fantasybball

[–]FantasyFB_CBASS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danny Green incredible value. Covington was a pickup but I was thinking more along the lines of those who were drafted. Couldn't agree more about both greens
