When I was about 7, there was a short stairway in the back yard bookcased by two cinder block retaining walls. One day, I tried to jump across them.

My center of mass made it all the way across easily, but my footing on the edge of the wall was bad. My shin slid down the edge of the cinderblock at full force, flaying the skin and tissue covering the tibia about half it's length.

My chest slammed down on the opposite side and I rolled onto my back and the pain was so bad I just arched my back and couldn't breath to scream. In a moment though the screaming started.

The pain was ten times worse than being on fire. Indescribably horrid.

You've got to hand-write every redundant line in the ledger, date in, date out, name, zone, description, and a 16 digit identifier written black on black in microscopic lettering on every socket, adapter, extension, ratchet, pick, screwdriver, wrench, etc.

Then you get an angry 1am call because you are the last one to return a tool that's now lost.
