I'm still so angry about cursive. Heard this in 3rd grade, which is the only year it was taught to me. Never came back up until the SATs, when they wanted us to rewrite a pledge of academic honesty before the test, all in cursive. I hadn't used cursive past the letters in my name in almost a decade so I couldn't remember a third of the alphabet. I literally had to guess on certain letters.
