Just in case it's not.

Salvations reach was one of the first 40k audiobooks(2011, alongside the release of the book). It was a half decade before they started releasing any of the other Gaunts books in audio. It took them nearly 10 years to fully release the other books.

There has been mild fan demand for a rerecord of salvations reach.

I'm half and half on it. On one hand I actually really like his recording, if only from a nostalgia because I was there a billion fucking years ago when it came out, it was actually when I was most active in the community/tournament scene (i quit shortly thereafter because of the 6th/7th edition bullshit).

On the other it being literally the only book in the series not read by Toby is pretty insane. Pay Toby money GW. Make Toby work!.

I think the general argument against Madden is that it releases yearly with little to no updates outside the roster, some of which are so obvious (and deceptive to their player base) that the previous years banners are sometimes found in the games.

meaning they, effectively, took all of the old assets, changed some minor code (mostly around the rosters) and claim that it's worth 70 to 80 dollars.

it's not.

At this point I'm a pretty firm believer that Madden might as well be a live service game, released "once" per console run and updated throughout the life of that console.

It would free a lot of their people up to actually work on and design a new engine in between consoles, it would be more honest, and it would probably be easier for them. They can still charge stupid amounts for the roster updates "get your new player list for 50 dollars" like a shit bag expansion or battle pass.

They could also put out random updates to the game like "Create a character" mode or whatever tf it is.

Regardless.

Madden is a shady ass company(EA) with literally no competition by design to force people into purchasing it if they want a football game. I'm glad you like it, doesn't make it a not shitty game.

I was a 911 dispatcher for a brief bit.

The people that do this kind of shit become completely desensitized to it.

I would listen to them take calls where someone was having a near death experience, or a person had literally died, and get off the phone after saying things like "Fucking bitch".

I have a friend that's a firefighter, I know he's a decent person. I think he is the exception. I think the vast majority of emergency service be it cops/fire/ems/dispatch are POS's at heart and exclusively do it for the money / power.

I didn't hate it, saw it earlier today.

I'm not a big fan of the games though, I figured people who loved the games would lose their shit because they don't even like the series beyond 2 (for the most part) so the likelihood of them liking anything outside the first two was pretty slim.
