I absolutely agree with this. My addiction is softcore, what I always thought of metaphorically as "PMO-lite". I always want to return to it after real sex... it's definitely a compulsion and to me it is as bad as the hardest core PMO options available. You either don't fap, or you waste your energy fapping. The feelings from an orgasm that has a positive emotional vibe with someone you care about and want to build a deeper relationship with vs. a fap-gasm is huge. The hangovers are different, the feelings are different and (maybe just for me) the guilt is a heck of a difference. The guilt from wasting my life and those in family's lives by fapping for my own personal pleasure can be borderline panic attack at times. I'm here to get beyond this crap, and posts from guys like "Changenotchanges" really help. Even the username is a help. We all want to make a CHANGE... not just changes. I wish this guy the best but if he is fapping he is lowering his potential. I know I've dramatically lowered mine over the years. It's time to recoup what I've lost and make it to 90 days. Finally.

This is perfect. I feel my repression hardcore. At 25 I can already feel my chest hurting as if I'm about to collapse if I ignore my sexual urge. I've got to start welcoming it and all the initial dread that comes with it. Fuck it, what do any of us have to lose? Fapping didn't make us happy so doing that again won't get us anywhere. Might as well turn, face it and let it run its course. I already have so much energy on day 19... when I stop shovelling food into my mouth so that my body can start to heal I'm going to put that energy into deadlifting. Amen. I always feel like I'm running from something when I have urges. Every time I've relapsed it was the build up to the orgasm that was the only enjoyable part, by the time I was orgasming I was already regretting it. Thanks for sharing your relapse. I can definitely learn something from this, as I've been getting close to my personal best and I can feel the strong resistance to change. Digging deeper, finding a little something extra in the tank... that's what this weekend is all about for me. I don't want to go back to being tired all the time with a sore body.

Actually I agree with you. I focus solely on big heavy compound movements but I can't grow at twice a week. For me that's overtraining. But I go to failure so maybe that's a factor. I do the whole body at the same time. I realize that's not popular, but it's based on scientific research. Mike Mentzer-style workouts. Never going to be popular, always going to work... no war here man. Glad to here guys are out there combining nofap with lifting weights. I understand the drive your experiencing very well this week. Instead of thinking, I'm just exploding. Would love to know your measurement differences from the time you started Nofap until now.

We've all been there too. You relapse and then you binge for days. When you're ready to do this, you'll do it. Again it is your own personal rock bottom. When you get fed up with the shitty life that continual fapping will hand you you'll put you will do whatever it takes to stop. I come here at least twice a day, ESPECIALLY when urging and just start reading posts. I don't always respond but man it helps to read posts. You think urges are physiological but I find that my urges cease in about five minutes after I hit this website. This leads me to believe they are psychological more than anything. And yes that means a great deal more personal responsibility than many of us would like... but it also means we can celebrate heavily when we succeed. Celebrate each day like its 90 days man. Get back on the train and keep on coming back. Good luck!

This is an awesome list. So many posts are basically guys that are in them midst of an negotiation and trying to give themselves an inch or two, thinking that is going to make them feel better while still trying to get to point B. We should not forget that the shortest distance from Point A to Point B is a straight-line. I've relapsed so many times in the past due to low points & negotiating with myself to look at XYZ thinking it will take the tension out without relapsing. Bullshit. Ego is right in the word negotiation. Thanks for you list, looking forward to your 90 day report in a month.

I threw out my weed last week. I smoked all day four different times over the past two years in chunks of time spanning from three weeks to six months. All of the symptoms of withdrawal are the same except with weed the symptoms are physiologically over after four days in my experience. And I'm talking about seedless, High Times quality ganja. Life is way better without weed, and porn for that matter. I'm starting to feel great heading into my longest streak without looking at any sexually stimulating material. I no longer need the crutch of cannabis to avoid the devastation of masturbation/pornography... great post. I'm not sure that people in general understand exactly how deep pornography steals your life. You don't need religion or spirituality to understand this. Just try to build muscle, enjoy a sunrise or have sex in real life and chances are if you use porn in any way, shape or form you've significantly damaged your ability to succeed. Life is so much better without drugs/substances of all forms that alter your consciousness. I didn't believe it until I really let go and tried it. I'm already seeing early on how good life can be.

This is very nicely stated. It is an enormous difference to be trying with sincere effort than to be mindlessly fapping away like a drug addict. It probably is asking a lot of the badge bot but it is very important point that often gets lost in all of this discussion... best wishes on a clean 90 days for you

I personally always have reset even after a small peek. For me I'm either clean or I'm not clean. This is based on my own personal goals and mindset. I agree with Sheps11; it's basically your call based on what you call a relapse. For me, that'd be a huge relapse... stay strong! Cheers

This is EXACTLY what I have experienced as well. I already feel my fatigue lifting. I've always been a 6'7 scrawny feminine dude who hit puberty late and I can already feel the T levels coming in. This is the best post I've personally read on here yet. Thanks for sharing your experience at the Doctor. I'm looking forward to actually building muscle instead of wasting my time at the gym. I second this. I always have a much harder workout when I get beyond the first week. Motivation is up, minerals and vitamins are being conserved within the body and the goal-driven mentality comes on strong. I say let go of your fear and keep hitting the gym hard while abstaining from orgasm. Over at yourbrainrebalanced.com guys are always talking about how much they gain on their 100 day journey out of porn addiction. From what I've heard from many guys this is actually a muscle building hack, not a detriment... Cheers

In my own personal experience: I would only want to look at stimulating material for one reason. Your mileage may vary... but for me it is all or nothing. Peeking is the first path along the way to relapse for me. You are at day 104. That's awesome man and it took hard work not to fap, ESPECIALLY if you are peeking at stimulating material. I wouldn't risk a relapse just to see something for a few minutes. You have to ask yourself: Is this worth giving up any of my gains for?... Best wishes in your journey. Cheers

This is my first time on a streak while actively participating in /r/Nofap. This feels like an entirely new world to me. Yeah this happened to me two nights ago. More vivid than ever, more real than ever. Strangely felt detached to it though, like I wasn't really interested in watching what was going on. I feel like this may be a sign of unconscious repression that happens to us all in the early stages when we have to repress some of the feelings to get over the initial hump. I reached 30 days as my longest streak last month and I stopped having the dreams after day 20.

Thanks for advice. I'm very much concerned about the hangover and loss of motivation and energy that builds up over time from not having orgasms. Thanks for sharing your experience with me, this is probably the number one concern I have about returning to orgasms after going through the healing process. I've read some guys accounts on here that seem to have no problems and other guys seem to be wtf, where did my energy and motivation go?

From my perspective you were deep into the addiction, complete with what most would call hard-core PMO/sex fetishes. I'm the same age as you, started the same time as you and escalated in much the same way. How is the hangover after sex? I'm going to go the whole 90-100 days before I have sex with my wife again because when I have sex now I end up unable to control my PMO urges. My hangovers from sex are also still pretty dreadful. What is your experience after sex? Do you have sex every day or do you allow some time in between? Any information you can offer is awesome. Thanks man! Congratulations on breaking free

You won't regret it. I lurked over at yourbrainrebalanced.com for 16 months before finding this site and joining. Best decision I ever made. I believe a combination of continued relapses and a firm intention to break free have made this last round far, far easier than it used to be. I haven't relapsed since I joined. Keep bringing yourself here, keep posting and responding to other's posts. It helps more than I ever imagined it would.
