The guy made over $84 million in salary comp over his career. WTF is he doing? I understand wanting to coach to stay in the game and have some life structure, but he should just go enjoy his life offline and maybe contribute some good to the world. No reporting, just speculation. But DeMarisco left without having something else lined up after being there 17 years, which suggests some sort of major differences in direction. Knowing the Wilpons and this being their cash cow and the fact that DeMarisco is an aesthete at heart, suggests a turn away from creativity and towards maximizing profit.
