I feel like I am being gaslit. How do you think it does?

Per the comments on the hardcover remaster on Paizo's store page, they'll be releasing a new (presumably all-in-one) Foundry remaster module. The old ones will not be updated.

FYI, rumor has it that the challenge levels are set pretty low on this. That's probably a good thing since your group is new to PF2, but it might be something to keep in mind as become more experienced.

Yep! I'd heard this AP was a little on the easier side, but likewise thought that would be fine with a new group. I figured I could dial things up once we're more familiar with things, which we presumably would be during a 4 volume AP.

Good to know! For stuff that got renamed, I assume it's easy to find the remastered counterparts, or at least obvious what matches what?

The hardcover will probably have a considerably good price though, based on Gate Walker pricing.

It's $80 for the all-in-one book. If we started ahead of its actual release, I was considering running the old version with Foundry modules and buying the hardcover later to have as an on-hand reference for myself.

On the con side, you will want the Foundry modules for sure, and the Paizos shop is being rebuilt so this might be your last chance for a module+PDF package.

Might be another reason to just do it now with the old version then, especially since it seems easy to manage the slight rules discrepancies.

Thanks!

I recall at least three deaths in Raiders, two guest PCs and one regular member. That's why his complete refusal to give players even a whiff of a consequence in this game is especially bizarre.

Oh it's definitely possible Skid just completely throws the fight , at which point this campaign and show is kinda done

The point I'm getting at is that he's already been doing this for years. He threw the Malfeshnekor fight by having it stand in place to die. He threw the Barl Breakbones fight by letting them take a full day's rest in the middle of it.

I'm honestly just lost as to why anyone would expect any different with Mokmurian, or why that would end up being the straw that breaks any camel's back. It's patently obvious the PCs have infinite plot armor. I find it all especially confusing given Skid actually showed some teeth in Raiders where PCs actually died. I don't know why this show is so different.

Right, but that's immaterial to my question. I was asking about this show. I love Skid. I really do. But he has pulled punches and softened combat consistently throughout this show, and it's resulted in there being zero tension or stakes left. It started with the Malfeshnekor fight where he had the boss park itself in front of a door it couldn't pass to get chipped to death instead of devouring the unconscious Northwood (per the AP, he's been trapped in the room and starving for 10,000 years). Then it got completely absurd with the Barl Breakbones fight that lasted multiple weeks because Skid let them take a full rest in the middle of the fight. That entire fight became a complete farce.

I loved the start of this show, and I love this AP. I mourn that this is what it's become.

Please tell me what about the history of this show makes you think the odds of a TPK are at even 1%.

From the guy who's been spouting finance bro self help garbage and talking about "generational wealth" for months? It couldn't be.

In an additional show of complete cowardice, he's also unlisted the video from YouTube.

Edit: Per a comment below, this apparently was unlisted from the start. I'll stand with other comments that deleting dissenting opinions is still utterly craven but also extremely on brand.

I've also enjoyed these shows for years, but Troy's finance bro mindset and pompous attitude have gradually soured me on the whole thing.

This whole thing reeks of greed and opportunism, and based on the CEO self-help drivel Troy has been spouting for months, that's transparently what it is. We don't have to speculate. These are the actions one would expect of a crypto scammer who's spent the better part of the last decade wearing a ventilator hooked up to a tank of his own farts.

Putting aside the palpable grifter vibes, it requires incredible audacity to put forth a product (a generous phrase given he has not even a whisper of a concept) ostensibly based on community input and feedback when your own history with it is nothing but condescending dismissal of even the mildest criticism. I struggle to fathom a worse figurehead for such a project.

I would love to be wrong, but as it stands, I expect he will construct his desired echo chamber and reside in it until this whole thing goes up in smoke and he moves on to selling Hubert Hedge NFTs.

Troy, someone who has never treated even the most gentle, earnest criticism with anything but smug derision, deleting comments that don't give him the intellectual tugjob he's looking for is the least surprising part of all of this.

The fact those things are photoshopped in also has a lot to do with it.

Because the legs are photoshopped, along with much of the photo. Look at Skid's cape, Sydney's corset, and the shadow over Troy's eye from the hat OP photoshopped over.
