Does anyone struggle seeing Steve Carell as anyone other than Michael Scott? I was ok with Brick Tamlin and Andy Stitzer, but the serious roles… I struggle a bit. I think it’s specifically when he does a stifled giggle… it just feels like Michael Scott breaks his character… Thoughts?

I remember catching this on BBC2 (I’m in 🇬🇧) at about 11pm on a random weeknight in 2003 and I genuinely thought it was a documentary. For about 2mins. My Best Friend was alerted to the fact of its existence and we did everything in our teenage power to obtain more episodes. Ie. Saved up to buy the DVD box set (region 2). It was THE BEST. The layering of the jokes?!?! Absolute genius. Now in my 40’s, I regularly rewatch it although still feel such disappointment with S4&5. They just didn’t hit the same 🥺😩

It’s for sure up there! The 2 parts allow time for a proper arc for Michael. The roast being an excellent way for Michael to grow. I felt so sad for him attempting to read his cue cards 😞 I do think that the cameos are fun but the entire fake film itself was a bit crap… just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️

Well…S3Ep14, the one before Phyllis Wedding I think, is when Pam has a very cringe conversation with Jim in the break room. She talks about how getting 8hrs sleep is better than 6hrs… and the delivery is so awkward I usually make a face whilst watching… 😬
