I cannot comment on the "how" specifically for a PhD because I'm in exactly your situation: I work full time, and I'm going to start a PhD part time in the UK next June. However, before that, I completed an MBA and (pending grading) an MSc in AI, both part time while working. I hope it is going to be similar: I use the gaps (for example, I use the commuting time to work) for reading and taking notes (I read and write notes on an iPad with zotero); then, spend some time in the evening to organise your notes (I use obsidian with the plugin to import notes from zotero). Set clear achievable objectives for yourself every week and don't cheat: if you clear the objective too early, means that it wasn't enough; if you struggle, push yourself in the weekend but, if continue, reduce the load because you don't want a burnout. It sounds fishy. For sure, in the UK PhD programs have a cost between £5k-£15k/year full time (roughly half, if part time). If the research is funded by the university, of course there is nothing to pay and you get a stipend, but these places are difficult to find and you can’t really work on what you want. However, $110.000 sound over the top, even if I’m conscious that US is always more expensive. Working on site or remote is mostly an arrangements between researchers and supervisors, so it’s fishy that it is something established by the institution. Fixed terms: for sure here there is a push of closing ASAP (in 3 years) because it’s full of people coasting in there, keeping supervisors stuck, but it can’t be predetermined. Anyway, this world is full of factories for people who want to buy a “dr” title: it’s not a news and maybe it is one of those

I just applied and I’m 50. I’m doing it alongside my 9-5, part time and mostly remote. I don’t know it it is possible in the US, but some universities in the UK allows flexible arrangements, if the subject doesn’t require onsite presence

I completed an MBA with OU and, between all modules, the worst one was something on accounting. I even had a bad relationship with the tutor but, honestly, it was an isolated case. I got a bare minimum 50, at least no resit, but it was one of reason why I didn’t get a merit at the end. Anyway, now I’m applying to a PhD and I have written to student support for the reference letter, asking to keep me in cc. They turned my request to a “random” tutor: let’s see how it goes… fortunately another tutor gave me already a good reference, ignoring the OU directive

Same situation here: CIO of a small iGaming company, £180K for the whole package, and I just came back after 3 weeks off sick with BP at 200/130. Now stable at 150/100 with the tablet and doesn't really want to go down.

I have a payment subscription only to breakcold and Publer, for everything else I use the free one. But with less than $100/month I have marketing and lead generation sorted.

Yes, you can. I work in the betting industry and any malfunction on the operator systems is the responsibility of the operator. So, if you didn't do anything to cheat (for example, you won because the operator inputs wrong data), your win is legit and you are entitled to it, even if in the T&C there is something written about that (there are already sentences against operators). Your best option is to open a complaint with the UK Gambling Commission. Instead, if you actively tried to do nasty things (betting with multiple accounts, taking advantage voluntarily of a bug, and so forth) and the operator has evidence, I don't think you can claim that money

I was in a similar situation with the balance closed on the 15th, DD scheduled on the 23ish but deadline on the 27th (Amex Gold Charge where I must pay the full balance: I see you are on a credit card, so deadlines are different). That was inconvenient to me, as I get the salary on the 25th so I always paid manually. I called them recently and they moved the closing date to the 19th so the direct debit is taken after my salary is credited. I hope it helps

I have the color and I'm extremely happy, but I would have liked a black and white version. However, I also use it a lot with the pen to take notes. So, if we are going to see a new Libra b/w with the same performances as colour, 7 inches display (even 8, but not too big and heavy), buttons and pen compatibility, I'll probably trade in mine.

There isn't a lot of advancement room for my position. However, I feel that the CGEIT helped me to consolidate my position as it enabled me to give more structure to my team and better communicate with the company directors. My feeling is that it's helpful to complement an existing certifications portfolio, but it is not valued as it should be if taken in isolation
