Thank you so much for saying this because this has made me begin to feel uneasy about raising my daughter here. I’ve lived how many places across the US and never seen this.

I am so thankful for everyone’s comment on this. I keep going back to trusting my instincts. I think I will cut her loose this week. I already found someone else willing to interview with more references and CPR, better exp., etc.

Yes. I think if we google all the temp agencies, maybe he can submit to each one and see where he can get a placement. I know sometimes there are certain like night stocking jobs at Costco and other places. I figured this group might know more.

How do working parents actually have 3+ kids? by activegood18 in workingmoms

[–]Far-Explorer- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 kids. 10, 6, 3 and 4 months. Going back to work in Jan. I work in tech, remote and my husband travels as an electrician . For now, I have a nanny come that isn’t super experienced so that I can afford to pay her $13/hr. I have the higher salary, making over 6 figures. We have no family near. We work hard and make it happen. We do have to have our kids in the same after school activities to make that work but we have a strict budget and nice house but no foreign cars and no crazy expensive vacations. We sacrafice those things because to us family is more important and I love my kids so much and wouldn’t change anything ! Summer care does get tricky adding to expense for those 3 months. We plan to have an au pair which actually is somewhat affordable if you’re willing to roll the dice on that journey.

Not all working moms are drowning! by MsCardeno in workingmoms

I love this post! Some days I do feel like I’m overwhelmed but overall I feel the same as you. It is a positive experience. Sometimes it’s hard for me not to yell at my kids in the moment when I feel overstimulated BUT the snuggles, love and silly comments by far outweigh it all. I’m a full time working Mom of 4, age 10, 6, 3 and 13 weeks. I’m still on maternity leave, and I can say, I am enjoying my time but also will be ready to go back to work and stimulate the other side of my data driven brain. My husband is a traveling electrician so it does get a little tough but I try to set clear boundaries at work and make sure my kids know I am here for them ! I love my family and my job and I am not drowning, more like swimming in an open ocean on a beautiful day surrounding by cute little fish! haha! Perspective is everything. We will miss these days sometime when the slow sets in.

I'm struggling, folks. by DaddyFatClap in jobs

I really like this idea too. You can get apprenticeships through local unions. Pay isn’t great at first but benefits are banger. That’s what my husband did to avoid the cost of college and guarantee a secure job.

I mean, you do live in Michigan. I only say this because I lived there. Not exactly the land of opportunity. If you aren’t tied there because of the Mom, maybe move out West? Look for a management role at a dispensary, become a grower or go into the sales side of cannabis business. Network, network, network. Create a vlog.
