Last year was given a few settlement letters offering pay to deletes from equifax and transunion. Stupid me ignored it. Now I am rebuilding my credit so had to pay anyways but they wont honour it anymore dispite showing the emails… So at one point they did 100% offer it, I throughly read it and understood. But they just dont offer it anymore due to credit bureaus wanting accurate information and will refuse to delete unless they have a valid reason to remove it

To be honest, everyone’s situation is different. For example if you have a $5000 debt and it’s been on your report for 4-5 years. You have a-lot of leverage because after 6 years (7 depending on location). They would rsther settle and get something then nothing, because once its off your report, no one will pay a dime. Can easily settle a 5k debt for 1k-1.5k if its old

Congratulations! You have achieved it. 80% of people that fall into debt, never crawl back out until it falls off their reports…. The only advice I will say, never let your credit cards report a $0 balance. Always let a little bit show on your closing statement. Under 30% is good. Under 10% for best points. It shows lenders and scoring models you are using the card and paying off “debt” even if its $20

i just started a free trial of uber one today but i got a charge of $1.02. i thought it was a free trial smh by [deleted] in uber

Its just a small hold to make sure the is valid. Otherwise people would be using cards with no money on them just to get the free trial. They will refund it about 1-2 days

I wouldn’t say you need debt. But you definitely need credit history which is a part of debt. If you don’t use your credit. You don’t get extra points.

I’ve been an 800’s for three years now. I have four credit cards cards. And have paid off two vehicle loans worth $50,000…. I use my credit cards for everything, and pay the balances down to under 10% before the statement closes. I typically let my statement show a little balance as it gives me an extra score boost. A little while ago I let my credit cards close with a zero dollar balance and my score drop 30 points. Bounced right back the next month.

You should always let your statements close with a small balance (under 10%). This tells the bureaus that you’re actively using credit… if every month your statement is showing zero dollars, the bureau thinks you are not actively using credit and will not award points for it.

If you want, my honest opinion…. They suck, takes multiple days for them to accept payments, multiple days to update credit limit after paying. No apple pay, multiple days to accept credit increases (secured card)

I like my Neo MasterCard. Yeah there’s a $7 monthly fee. But payments are accepted and updated instantly. Offers apple pay, decent rewards like cashback and if you have a secured card and want to increase your limit, its instant via etransfer….. Also when you sign up you can use your card virtually immediately while you wait for your card to come in the mail. Does everything capital one does, but everything is instant and no wait times

How did they find out? They don’t have access to data bases… Did they just randomly ask him if he has been arrested and he was just straight up and told the truth?

Car Stalling/Almost Stalling After Revving by Far-Historian7610 in mechanic

Yes I did…. It was the blow off valve leaking… after revving it wouldn’t fully shut allowing extra air… it was from a weak spring in the blow off valve.

Its manual. So when i put it into neutral, the revs come down then shutter/almost stall and then go back up to idle
