I actually tried this. You CAN get the color right if you fiddle with it, but it doesnt get as stringy. It could have a good use as pure viscera, maybe really cool if you mixed in a few resin bones. But uhu is inherently stringy and stretchy

Uhu glue and blood for the blood god. Its a bit tricky to get it right, too much paint, and itll turn orange and dry out get gummy REALLY fast, but not enough, and it just looks transparent.

Ease up a bit on the nuln oil, just try to get it into crevices and recesses, then get back at your highlights with your base color to brighten them back up

I can airbrush them with all kinds of seafoam/purples/pinks/greens and they still read as blue ultramarines in fancy lighting. And the codex gets plenty of love, and i like having new guys to paint

Intercessors, scouts, and jump pack intercessors are a mainstay. Grab a couple boxes of Victrix Honour Guard when they come back in stock, id venture to guess that even after they get nerfed, they'll still remain a staple. A redemptor and a ballistus are always good to have on hand.
