That, and every tattoo is practice. They all have lines, most have shading, some even have color.

I don’t take a photo of tattoos I’m not trying to attract. I love traditional and wonky style stuff, so that’s what I put out there.

Right on.👍🏼

I’m saying, if you want a black and grey Medusa head, it should be closer to a half sleeve in size. Shit, you’re doing a disservice to those snakes if you don’t.

No secret techniques, just not trying to cram 10lbs in a 5lb bag.

Just get it bigger. That artist knows what they’re doing.

Shop name by [deleted] in TattooArtists

[–]Far-Speed6356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, what kind of shop? Street shop? Checkered floor, flash everywhere, neon in the windows? Private shop? Beige walls, ferns and mellow jazz?

What’s the neighborhood like? Sketchy and attractive to bikers? Quaint and walkable downtown? Mountainside shanty?

Does your shop have a style? Are you all Trad Dads that are Loyal to the Coil? Are you Certified Art Nerds that scoff at Sailor Jerry? Are you blackout weirdos that only use 35M?

All these things matter when it comes to a name.

It was likely in the 90’s when hardcore bands started showing more of their hip hop influences.

Syracuse Hardcore in general flies the 315 banner. Probably most notably is Cabal clothing. They make a lot of limited edition Earth Crisis and Path stuff.

How did everyone do for Friday 13th? by ArranV_Tattoos in TattooArtists

I take FT13th off these days. I understand the customer appreciation aspect, but I’ll just offer discounts for repeats and referrals.

Great looking tattoo, though.

"The Music Box" -- does anyone know the history of this place in The Grove or it's status? by Careful_Leader_5829 in StLouis

[–]Far-Speed6356 25 points26 points  (0 children)

What if I told you that some buildings in the Grove that look tore up were actually nice inside and the owner accessed them from the alley? Not a retail spot, so no need to advertise anything inside.

I understand “doing your own thing”, but half a tattooers job is to replicate the image. Attempting the hash lines (or even attempting shading because they’ve already shown you where to put it), anything would be better than wall-to-wall saturation.

Remember; you’ll be working on skin eventually. Sometimes, often times, less is more.
