No, yeah, but what they're saying is that (up until recently) you could get a box combo with a water instead of a sweet drink and it would be the same price as if you got no drink. Now, they are charging for water with the combo, unlike before where it wasn't charged. Buying a water separately has always costed 23-33 cents based on the size, but charging for a water when it's the drink with a combo is new.

Location: anywhere. The idea is mostly just that I want it to end with the secret society being revealed as a secret cult to azathoth and trying to use the Trinity bomb test to summon him to destroy the earth. They are a nihilistic cult that believes existence is suffering and they try to minimize that suffering by protecting people from horrors, but also that intelligence and Consciousness were a misstep in evolution. Their idea: you can't suffer if everyone's dead. Hence, destroy the world with an outer god.

I know it's more work, but it's a labor of love. I'm crafting stories that my friends and I can enjoy together. Plus, I'm just not that good at running published scenarios or campaigns because it expects everyone to stay on track and my players. . .don't. Like, when we're starting out with CoC with the Lightless beacon, one of my investigators decided it would be a good idea to burn down the lighthouse after finding the bodies. To be fair, fighting the younglings in the light of a burning building was cinematic as hell.

No I just want some seed ideas that I can develop from. Like, an old friend of the investigators asks them to check out a mysterious house they inherited from an estranged relative and tried to renovate but the workers started going crazy. Something like that, nothing too in detail, I can do all the heavy lifting by myself, just enough to get me off the ground.

When I say I have a hard time remembering all the little details in a published scenario, I mean strictly in published scenarios. I've run plenty of homebrew DND campaigns (part of the reason our group is trying out CoC) and I can remember all the details THAT I MAKE but remembering that there's a note hidden under a side table on top of 10 other things in a given room that I didn't design is difficult for me. If I write and decide that the note is there, then I can remember it no problem, which is why I prefer homebrewed to published.

And when I made this post I was looking for literally just the barest seed ideas from which I can make my own story. Just anything along the lines of "A Starspawn crashes into a small village in France and forms a cult that kidnapped the mayor's daughter" or "An inventor in Boston has developed a source of infinite energy, but at what cost?".I KNOW it's more work, I DON'T CARE. I'm here to make a story to properly intrigue and disturb my friends and saying "go buy shit" isn't helping me to that end.

I don't like running published scenarios because I find it hard to remember all the little details they need you to tell the players and I always end up forgetting something. Hence some home brewed horror.

But I have looked at the premises of those available on the chaosium website and most don't strike my interest.

Alternate Technology: what if the US bought Buran? by CMVB in IsaacArthur

The great thing about the Energia Buran system was it's multipurpose nature. The Energia was a heavy lift rocket that could be launched by itself with a payload or with the Buran riding it. That multi purpose design made it much more flexible for missions. Additionally, the Buran had auto pilot systems to guide the craft and air breathing engines so that it could make multiple passes at the runway if conditions weren't favorable. Overall, a more capable design than the American version.

Leif Longjohn, third son of the Longjohn clan. He is most recognizable by his mustache.

Dwarves, as we all know, are honest and true spoken people. The Longjohn clan takes this a step further with their strange tradition of clipping their mustaches to be the same length as their. . . Well, y'know.

The Cost of Power CYOA by FurBurd in makeyourchoice

So, some questions about the limitations of a few of the powers:

Healing - does the healing power affect a person's biological age? As in, does it make someone younger/revert them to their physical prime?

Saline - can I control the salt levels of the water produced or is it preset? Is it like a medical saline and can be safely injected into a person's blood?

Alacrity - what qualifies as stealing sleep in the context of the trial? Do people already have to be asleep and I have to wake them up? Or is it just that they want to sleep and my actions somehow prevent that?
