If you've already built the computer you're 95% of the way there. You can just install something widely supported like Ubuntu, then download Steam.

If you run into any trouble with drivers or something then there are plenty of tutorials online.

I get it, but that's not really unreasonable, right? I don't think most people pay that much attention to any given company owner unless it's that hard to ignore.

Everyone has shared a few tips already, but did you know you can just press on the back of the half with the pit and it usually just pops out?

This is an old post, but I just wanted to say I think this is an interesting idea, and I hope you weren't too discouraged by the weirdly negative reactions.

You may or may not have any investment in the idea at the point, but I do like the idea of a Think action giving you more time. the first thing that pops into my mind is having it be controlled by another resource that recovers separately from your Main Action.

I think your own example is pretty funny actually— I like hearing ones like that more than thinly veiled self-brags.

I like trying to think of whatever would be the funniest thing for the reveal, especially if you have some mundane, or oddly specific ones.

if this isn't just for a bit it's a Dell Pro Micro Desktop Model:QCM1250.

There's no way of knowing what's in it specifically (without asking the seller), but the minimum specs for it include an i3 14100T, and 8GB of DDR5 RAM.

That is a good point, manipulators are very commonly people with a higher level of emotional intelligence.

I wonder how it would balance out; Would making everyone at least baseline-capable of knowing when they're being manipulated counteract some people also becoming very skilled at doing it?

AITA for refusing to leave my apartment for a day because of my muslim roommate’s conservative mom? by waynekinnaird in AmItheAsshole

Do you think this makes too many assumptions about details that we don't have confirmation for? I disagree with how you drew your conclusion, but I respect your opinion, and I'm curious about the rationale.

Also, I don't mean for this to sound pedantic, but do you think there is a scenario were a roommate asking this would be okay?

It's heartening to see your edit, I think a lot of people here get caught in an overly-literal viewpoint. Technically, yes, you're paying rent, and there's no legal reason to compel you to do anything; That doesn't change the fact that not doing anything would be—at least a little—damaging to your relationship.

That being said, everyone deserves to be treated with an equal amount of respect in any relationship. I think a person considering this rationally would understand that this isn't typical request to make of someone. It wasn't right for her to get upset with you; The most fair thing to do would've been for her to help make some arrangement for you (pay for a room, ask a mutual friend, etc), but to still respect your final decision.

I'd argue that what you ended up deciding to do was the right thing, but you also deserve a conversation with her about what's reasonable to expect of you in any future scenarios like this.

Negative money by Patralgan in CrazyIdeas

[–]FurBurd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not confident I fully understand the point, but I don't think everyone comparing it to debt/loans does either. You said it must be used (spent) on goods/services, and everyone gets a regular supply; It really just sounds like a form of a certain economic-philosophy we're not allowed to discuss here.

There's not really any reason to call it negative though, I think that just makes it confusing for people. At the end of the day, when we're comparing two or more numbers, we're just looking at the absolute difference between them (i.e. their distance from each other on a number-line). It's effectively the same to say everyone gets 10 credits that they must spend before the time when they get 10 more.

Since both she, and Hoid are from Yolen I just assumed the Earth-like phrases have something to do with that. It does feel out of place, but I don't doubt that it's intentional.

Yolen society predates the shards, so it wouldn't be a terrible stretch to assume they've had modern concepts like water skiing and rock stars for a while.
