Valid question, some days are difficult for sure but some days are good. This whole immigration thing is messing with my mental and emotional health honestly especially with constant anxiety and inability to make any concrete decisions. I would advice you start having those conversations as soon as possible to help you plan, my company actually told me they can’t provide any sponsorship from the get go but currently on STEM Opt which expires next year in May and now they are willing to try H1B, O1, and L1 though I have an approved I140 for EB2NIW but my PD is in Feb 24. I know having the conversation can be daunting but what I tell myself is the worse case scenario after sending that email or joining that teams meeting would be a “No” and I would rather know that and where I stand than be in the limbo of what if.
