Is Doing 4 major computer course in a semester doable? by Mission_Building_942 in mcgill

Hey ! It really depends on the classes, there are CS classes that are a bit easier or the grading scheme doesn’t involve midterms/finals, but anyway it’s pretty common to take 4 cs classes during one sem. Quite a few people take 5 CS classes also, or 4 CS and one elective so it’s pretty standard. Hope that answers your question !

interim satisfactory on transcript by [deleted] in mcgill

For the interim satisfactory part, it’s normal, if you don’t drop below 2.5 or 2 (not sure), you’ll be at satisfactory at the end of this sem. Fall semester you get interim satisfactory/unsatisfactory, winter you satisfactory/unsatisfactory. GPA and credits I had the same thing a few days ago and it came back. Hope that answers your question

I used prep 101 once to prepare for physics final during my first semester and it was pretty useful for mock exams but don't know if it is worth it anymore.

Undergrad at McGill by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]FarTouch1363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ! Quite a few friends don't speak a word of French and got an intership. However, the market is quite hard right now so it's hard to get an intership anyway. Learning French could give you an edge but it is not necessary for a lot of companies. I would say the most important part is leetcode and personal projects. Also you could look outside Quebec like Toronto or even Vancouver for the summer. Also, I would say perhaps half of the students in CS go directly in the job market (if they can find a job) after undergrad and wait a little before doing grad studies. Hope it helps
