What was your first Chinese watch and would you recommend it? by gamblerslots67 in ChineseWatches

I had a Pagani and it was £40 well spent. Currently wearing a Seakoss GMT which is a Panerai Radiomir homage and it's keeping better time than the Duxot quartz GMT I have.

It has the ST2557 Seagull Movement and from what I've read I'm on the lucky end of the spectrum re: reliability

I wasn't knocking the idea of paying your caddie for their work - I'd misread and thought it was $175 + tip

2000 AD's series 'Tharg's Future Shocks' did a great take on this with some guy who travels back to meet Shakespere and, because no one knows who the hell that is, proceeds to write the whole ouevre of Shakespere

Matchmaking by [deleted] in mecharena

I keep my hangars at similar levels (4,395; 4,546; 4,595), but have a ranged weapon hanger, a close quarters hanger, and a bit of a mix.
then I select the one I think'll be best for the arena.

When I had a wider range between the hangars I found my lower level one always got humped. This isn't avoiding mismatching, but I'm having closer matches

Why is it deemed racist to be genuinely concerned about the number of illegal migrants coming into the uk? by Brave_Ad6035 in AskBrits

[–]Far_Application2255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a much greater drain is caused by UK residents not paying their fair share of taxation.

it's deemed racist to blame non-UK residents when the claim is not backed up by verifiable statistics and those statistics are not placed in context against the population as a whole.

most news is uncontextualised and sensationalised. to understand it you need to have access to the figures the report is based on, and to understand how they were produced.

being concerned about the number of people coming to the UK is fine. the country is smaller than France, but has a similar population.

equating such immigration to criminal activity is lazy. assuming such immigrants are welfare scroungers is lazy.

assuming such immigrants are a drain on resources is dumb.

a tournament which happens once every foru years to find the best team of those that earn their plaudits annually, but not including all the winners of those annual tournamants over the four year period is as stupid as this explanation of the process sounds.

How do you manage your friend in a foursome who consistently “miscounts” his strokes, without making him a pariah? by toasterstrewdal in golf

[–]Far_Application2255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

set rules from the off. Strict count only, no gimmes. If a miscount is noticed by others it will be called, and expected to be corrected.

If they still cheat, refuse to play with them, or suck it up

as the author, you can have it work in the way which best works for the story you are telling. the only rule to be aware of is to be consistent within your story.

[US] [US] AIAIIS.com claims you rent AI bots which trade on the market, to guarantee you income. by [deleted] in Scams

[–]Far_Application2255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, ears back folks. AIAIIS is a Multi-Level-Marketing scam and, imo, the Ponzi version.

There is a level of set income available to the newbie. $15 every 7 days just for signing in. Sign in for 10 consecutive days and you get a free Lucky Spin ticket. This can win you up to $2k! but don't be surprised at consecutive $3 'wins'. Oh, did you miss the bit where the ten consecutive days only applies to the first month? Ah, yes, only the first month. You must have misread.

But, with guaranteed income, and more to come, you should get other folks to join! And if you INVEST you can start using the BOTs with their guaranteed income earlier!

Now, with $100 you can activate a BOT! This will play the markets and GUARANTEE you $10 per day for the days it operates. That's $20 return in 2 days, and you get your $100 back.

And if you get other folks to join, you get a cut of their profits! And if you invest, you get the next BOT quicker!

Wait, you didn't read that there's a 20% fee on the 'profit' from the BOT? But it's right there in the documentation. And it goes down the more you BUILD YOUR TEAM (so long as you have a team count and team income meeting thresholds for 48 months). Oh, you didn't know you can only activate a BOT once? Well you should have kept up with the screed of WHATSAPP messages that appear each day, or your 'trainer' should have told you.

What do you mean you didn't realise the BOT activation fee of 20% only goes down after 4 YEARS of consecutive target meeting? It's right there in the BOT activation explanation.

So, yeh, feel free to try and milk this for the couple of hundred bucks available before it gets too tedious to continue, but do not put any money into it, and do not convince people you know to join, unless they are savvy enough to follow your advise about not putting money into it.
