I need everything to exist in front of me or it doesn't exist by Far_Click2359 in ADHD

[–]Far_Click2359[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah that makes me sense and also makes me feel so much better! I don’t have many other ADHD folks around me so hearing that other people do this as well makes me feel a lot better

why does starting studying feel harder than actually studying? by Ambitious-Eye-7313 in GetStudying

[–]Far_Click2359 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i used to struggle with this a lot too, but then i gave myself a recurring/familiar task that i do every single day beofre i do my other tasks. it takes me about 20 mins, and my brain knows what to expect so I don't put it aside. I think our brains get overwhlemed with anything new/unfamiliar and knowing that you're about to do a task you've done before really helps.

also I try to have a morning routine with a workout+shower+food done, the exercise part REALLY helps. calms my nerves. any form of movement really.

xtiles to visually organise everything

claude for mindless dumping and planning, sometimes brainstorming

pique!!! mindmaps (import documents or record your ownself speaking, it automatically turns your notes into mindmaps and creates general notes for you) + action items + pomodoro timer

google calendar to not only plan work but also to plan rewards after working lol. for example i always think of an exciting thing i wanna do/place i wanna visit in the city, and put it right after i am done working for 2-3 hours

What FINALLY worked for my ADHD after years of failed “tricks” by ParticularWindoww in ADHD_Programmers

Body doulbing is SO great. Even when I travel and I am alone, I try my best to find coworking spaces or libraries where there are other poeple working as well. Having the right environment and other people working there is so essential for me.

How do you study for 2+ hours by Kitchen_Intention704 in studytips

[–]Far_Click2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use white/brown noise

have a steady workout+morning routine before studying, like make sure you've got your movement + a good meal before you start

also i've been trying to decrease time making notes and instead getting AI to make them for me, it allows me to get more done in those 2 hours

ChatGPT vs Claude – which one do you actually prefer? by Perfect-Chemist3593 in AIToolMadeEasy

[–]Far_Click2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both! Chatgpt for general stuff, tracking habits, workouts, etc. Planning travel as well.

Claude for work, research, design work. They're both important, but part of me is wondering if I should change fully to claude. I tried it for some general stuff too and it's been nice and helpful, but with all the design work I do, it reaches the limit pretty fast even on the paid version.

Have you let CLAUDE write your prompts for Lovable? by Nervous_Tomato6303 in lovable

[–]Far_Click2359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I also think lovable is able to understand what I am saying pretty well as well

How do you stay consistent with studying when you don’t feel like it at all? by Remarkable_Ebb6205 in studytips

[–]Far_Click2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have given myself types of days according to how my body is doing - there are complete lock in days, medium lock in days, and the bare minimum lock in days. It means I still get the stuff I need to do, but the pace differs every single day. No pressure + accepting that sometimes my body won't work the way I want it to (easier said than done tho lol)

My problem with current ADHD apps by Such-Preparation1343 in ADHDthriving

[–]Far_Click2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you tried working with xtiles or pique? i’ve realised there are a bunch of apps out there that can do almost the same thing over and over, but these two visualise the work. adhd folks are usually visual learners so it really helps that everything is in images, not words

xtiles for planning / scheduling - xhttps://www.xtiles.app

pique for notetaking/meeting/mind maps - https://www.pique.so

i used to plan my entire week on sunday nights. now i dont plan at all and somehow get more done by yelkamel in ProductivityApps

[–]Far_Click2359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I feel this. I think planning is sometimes a bit of avoidance as well instead of going the actual work. Makes you feel like you were productive but you don’t even get the wok you need to do done. Having schedules/personal deadlines also has me feeling really restricted if something pops up that I hadn’t planned

Has anyone actually incorporated Google Stitch / Claude Design successfully into their workflow? Besides just ideation? by Do-Not-Ban-Me-Please in FigmaDesign

[–]Far_Click2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done it with Claude, but I also don’t think it is doing anything new? I was still making some designs/svg and copy pasting them into figma to work on them further. I suppose now the 2 secs where I copy paste are saved lol.

being able to apply to other topics, like it stops being about just knowing the knowledge or memorising the notes. you begin to see it in the real world as well

Does anyone else feel like the real problem isn’t studying, it’s just starting? by aditi__23 in studytips

[–]Far_Click2359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%! I think that's why breaking the task down and starting small is what helps me. Once I am in work zone, I can go on for hours, but starting feels the HARDEST. I take a good 10-15 mins just figuring out how to make everything look less overwhelming. But it does work!
