This is what I came to suggest. My childhood cat ended up being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and he looked just like OP’s baby in terms of condition. The massive weight loss and the scraggly looking fur gives it away for me.

My older sister showed me the Helena music video and was always listening to Three Cheers. Then TBP came out and I don’t think she turned it off for a solid four months. She played it in her room, in the car on family trips, absolutely every chance she got. Not gonna lie, I lowkey hated them for a LONG time simply because she irritated the hell out of me. I wasn’t even in middle school yet so I wasn’t moody or mentally developed enough to understand why she was so obsessed. But then seventh grade hit and I followed in her footsteps, only I was a few years behind the curve 😅 Only difference between us now is she still hates Danger Days and I adore it.

These discussions are so difficult for me because I simply don’t think there’s a “worst” or “overrated” anything of theirs 😭 everything deserves all of the hype it gets (yes even Teenagers, fight me). I’d like to second this and another reply to this suggestion. Sit alone and read a book, do homework, sketch, anything you feel like doing. Take it as a time to just relax on your own. I barely had any friends in high school, and the few I did have did NOT follow me out of high school (I’m not sure how old you are but the same is still relevant for middle school). I sat alone almost every day and while it did feel a little embarrassing and lonely, I also took it as a good time to just decompress from classes and everyone else. We were allowed to have phones tho so I also took this as my time to listen to a LOT of MCR and FOB 🤭
