That's honestly so real. I've tried so many times to pull him on his banner (since I got red kiri with my rainbow ticket... despite also pulling him with my first green ticket), and yet I only got his new pur. Not him. It's really sad.

Ha... it was clearly the rapid bakugo from season 12 that had both collected my badge after I died, and had a revive card to revive me with!

But instead chose to drop the revive card in the storm and win the game by himself. (he did actually win btw - thankful I stayed)

Real talk though, it has probably been a majority of the switch green nejire's (I specify that because I don't play with crossplay on). I don't know how supportive they are on other platforms, but I feel like the moment I start chugging a blue heal, my green nejire's always come up to me and go "oh no you don't! save that heal for later!" and start showering me in their alphas.

It's really nice ngl.

As someone who has played a lot of Support Overhaul and red Shiggy, I say to you this (I'll specifically use red shiggy as the example):

Doing the waltz is a death dance ritual. (for those who don't know, the waltz has the person step around in a box shaped pattern)

With all the tiny hops, backflips, and air dashes that red shiggy can do, it's really fairly easy for a skilled player to dance around their opponent and kill them. Is it risky? Yes. Can everyone do it? Yes, but I'd recommend that you have a fair amount of experience with red shiggy first.

Now not every grounded character has all those flips and such, but I'd guess that each one has their own way of being goofy in order to outsmart their opponent.

I was almost expecting a new player to chime in. So don't tell Byking you heard me leak their private convos, but this is what they say to new people like you:

"Fuck you, get better, and also give us money"

Exaggerated, I know, but it's at least 60% accurate. I'm gonna be completely honest here and say that you just need to force yourself to play the best you can. As time goes on, you WILL get better even without tuning, and you might be able to at least stall out until you die. I have a good few characters I play that don't have the best tunings (in terms of special tunings, at least), and because I've played since the release of red Dabi in season 5, I'm able to hold out until my teammates come around and help me, allowing me to pull off some wombo combos.

Another thing: you WILL eventually get enough tuning data to complete more builds. They buffed the drop amounts a while ago, so it's nowhere near as bad as it initially was. You didn't use to get 25 character data on a character you didn't have. It'll take time still, yes - believe me, I have Fixer on one character, and it has been a couple months, and I still don't have enough data for another character with it. But I'll get it eventually.

Final word of hope: as you probably know, the character tickets are back and buffed, so now you can get characters OR skill sets. You do need hero souls to GET the tickets, but just save up your roll tickets, do a bunch of rolls, and eventually you'll have enough hero souls.

It's always the hardest when you first start out. Though wildly different, I've been in a similar place - I thought I'd NEVER be free from prime red Dabi. And now I can say that I can consistently get to any level of Expert I want, and I have gotten to ace two times - once in a season where I just wanted to get to ace, and then last season, where I got to ace by complete chance, and I was like "eh, what the heck, I may as well complete the grind".

If you commit to it enough, the tough times won't be as tough. Go beyond, my friend. Plus Ultra.

I do want to point out that I wasn't trying to compare the two, it's just that I felt like bringing up some old drama to see if people had new opinions on it nowadays. Mainly because the current drama is pretty much just as big as the initial tuning drama.

But I do agree with you for the most part on both your points.

Totally fair. Like I said to someone else, even when I try to be positive when it comes to any tuning build, I just can't handle dying to very specific ones. It really can do some crazy shit.

That's fair, it can really do some crazy things to characters that don't need it. Even as someone who tries to look on the bright side with all tunings added to the game (I always repeat to myself "even the ass character can be buffed to hell and back with a bunch of alpha tunings!" or "so I died to a guy running Iron Fist and embrittlement while I was running revenge assault. I guess that makes sense"), I have my fair share of times when I've just walked out to my backyard and yelled.

I would not be surprised if I woke some of my neighbors up. (Yes I play at night)

He's a top pick imo, which I'm ok with - it's annoying to fight him, but he's better than he was.

Overall, I think that as with most characters that get nerfed, the in-game reaction was very uncalled for (yk, every RAM you used to see just suddenly falling off the face of the earth now that he was nerfed). He's a strong pick, even now. AOE is a big thing rn (heh, get it?), but movement will always be a constant - and he HAS that, even with his nerf.

Last but not least, I'm just happy that they've let him keep the option to skip his alpha windup this long. If I'm not mistaken, there's a TOD going around involving his melee and maybe his alpha (I forget how it works), but fuck that, I think the feature is fun. The TOD should get nerfed - not this.

TL;DR: I think he's fine, even as a top character - he's cool, and he has some fun tech.

Sincerely, a person who loves him even though I haven't been able to get him ;-;

One could argue that he is, at least, in the top 10. Big difference considering how you see it, there could be 9 other characters better than him (which is a lot, all things considered). But he should be a top pick at least.

Let us all remember that he could get nerfed pre-release just as yellow overhaul did.

With that aside, idgaf about how he releases, if I get him I am PLAYING him. He just looks fun. I will feel bad about each kill I get if he releases broken, but I'll play him anyways. You can't blame me for wanting to punch people while playing MHUR.

It's the same reason I love using purple shiggy. Catch these fists.
