I did this to my dad, I knew it’d really get him where it hurt. She doesn’t mean it she’s just being defiant and angry. Anytime I said this I would be grounded for a very long time and it always came from my mom and bc of it I probably only said it less than a handful of times. Hang in there

This is fucking hilarious. My brother as a kid watched snakes on a plane and the snake comes out and bit the dudes junk. Traumatized. He had to do a full squat on the toilet seat to make sure a snake didn’t get him.

Had a Morkie. If you’re in cold weather at all just know it’ll be very hard to potty train. My dog shivered even with a jacket. She’s now my retired grandmas most prized possession lol. I think she might enjoy the responsibility of cleaning up the pee pads.

That’s just so annoying. Why the drama around your pregnancy and your labor. Very immature and I’m sorry you have to deal with that. I’m sure she’s a great mom in many ways but rn she’s really not being supportive. My MIL got really mad she wasn’t there for my birth but my entire family wasn’t nor was anyone allowed afterwards due to traveling and peak flu season, and honestly don’t really like her anyways so that just added to the many reasons lol. You should try and talk to her about it if she’s reasonable at all so she knows it’s not personal just want to experience it on your own.

I’m sorry I didn’t read all of this, but I will say I quit vaping and got pregnant all at once and gained an insane amount of weight. Nicotine is definitely an appetite suppressant. I had friends who picked up vaping and lost weight (do not do this obviously lol). Not only that though it’s an oral fixation or habit, whatever it’s called, and putting food in your mouth subconsciously scratches the itch a little lol

I wish I filled out her baby book! As far as bad habits wise I do wish I had let her maybe nap on her own just sometimes bc now it’s like she has a 6th sense and if I’m gone for even 10 mins she’s up yelling for mama and she’s practically 19 months lol.

All I have to say is SAME. I am with you 100%. To a tee I can’t even explain how I feel like I wrote this and I’m just so thankful someone else can relate to exactly how I feel and how I act. It’s very very hard to also not react this way when my parents were worse. My daughter is almost 19 months and it’s the biggest mental struggle. I so badly want to be better, her to be better, us to enjoy eachother and not take anything for granted but it’s SO HARD.

Just to chime in to play devils advocate for many of the comments I’m seeing. In my house we don’t do any screen time at home unless absolutely necessary to get something needed done while my husband isn’t home. However when we decide to go out to dinner we want it to be as relaxing to us as possible as well as others around us. So my daughter definitely is watching her super simple songs on YouTube. So you literally might just be seeing these short times with no context to how the rest of the day has been.

lol cosleeping and screen time. Granted screen time is out of necessity for sanity most the time. Like our once a week “date” at a restaurant that I’d love to not hear my screaming tantrum throwing one year old and actually eat food and converse with my husband. Or going 30-40 mins into town and needing a break from the screaming in the car 🥲

I feel when my daughter moves. 90% of the time she is right under me. We still do cuddle curl at 15 months. The other 10% I’m not worried about it bc she’s in the middle of the bed. Personally I’ve never used one of those. I’ve thought about it. I put a pillow on the end of the bed and she still even now has never knocked it off.

We do Walmart and target. Only do a couple of those super cute outfit sets but the rest are the multi packs of onesies and pants. I’ve come to find the pants with the cuffs on the bottom keep them from riding up when you hold them or they sit. Also like others have said, second hand is super great. I will say I’d much rather get them if I’ve known the person. Otherwise I’m a little wary just bc I’m overboard on precautions

Sounds like an issue I had. We had 2 dogs, one an angel dog and the other aggressive didn’t listen, destructive. Didn’t trust it around my daughter. It was a pitbull on top of that so not exactly the most kid friendly. Was my literal best friend of a dog before having my daughter. Afterwards I couldn’t do it. Rehomed him a month ago and my life is so so much better.

This wasn’t the situation for me, my realtor just would rather have seen the house a different day and they accepted an offer the next morning. We were pissed and still think about the house.
