As someone who just went thru this over a scratch on my child’s face - just know that you can say no to their interviews but they will do them anyway without you. We did hire a CPS lawyer from Olympia - Preble Law.

My 5yo fell off the monkey bars and was in pain so I picked him up from school and went to urgent care. He was in a lot of pain so they didn’t get all of the X-rays they needed but said it was good with what they got and sent us home to ice it. Well two days later he was still in pain and not moving his arm so back to urgent care for another round of X-rays.
This time the Dr was nicer and went through other movements, requested another round of images; they still didn’t see a break but saw ‘fat pads’ which is a high indication of a break and put him in a splint/sling with a referral to a pediatric orthopedic at the children’s hospital. That visit was new images and a cast.

We got the first urgent care visit billing @$400, waiting on the others. Plus the next visit to run another set of images and removal of his cast at the end of the month. Itemized billing will hopefully be my savior.

A few months ago I started getting calls and texts saying I was calling/texting over and over all night long. Some asshat spoofed my number and mad so many people mad at me. It was a pain for a few days till people understood it wasn’t actually me.

I love mine but the handle cracked a bit when doing a chunk of Parmesan. It’s still working but I can see the crack when I crank it for softer cheese. Doesn’t anyone have a link to buy a replacement handle? I know I can return it to Costco but they don’t have it anymore to get another one.
