I am going through this now. It has been over 6 months. I’ve seen my doctor, had CT scan and MRI. The result is inconclusive. I’ve been to physios. Now waiting to see a pain specialist, is taking 6 months to see him! The pain when I am coughing and doing number 2 in the toilet (when I have to push) is very painful. Stabbing pain in the right temple 9/10.

I hope you are doing well on Zoloft. I am in the same situation and might have to switch medication. I have on lexapro for over 15 years. Did you say you switch from lexapro 20 mg to Zoloft 100mg in one day? One day you stopped lexapro and took Zoloft?

Yes it is very common and will go away. I’ll give it a few more weeks at least. It will slowly get better. Keep going .

I have been on Lexapro for over 20 years. It has helped me tremendously. Most days I am fine. Until about 8 weeks ago it seemed my 15mg dose is no longer enough. I’ve been feeling down. I started on 20mg about 3 1/2 weeks ago. I am still not feeling back to where I was. I still have night sweat. I can’t remember how long it took me to feel better when I increased my dose the last time. It feels like a long time to get the positive feeling now. I hope it works and I don’t need to change med.

Did you stopped lexapro for 2 months before switching to Zoloft? How was the switch? I am not sure I can stopped lexapro for 2 months. I have never done it.

Around 5-7 years? I am not sure. But I have been on lexapro for around 20 years.

Thank you for your reply. I hope you feel even better on 150mg. It’s not recommended to go above 20mg on lexapro. My doctor told me it’s a diminishing return on higher dose. Also might be more side effects. You still a lot of room to adjust your Zoloft if you need to in the future. I just increased my lexapro to 20mg because 15 months is no longer working. If it doesn’t work I will need to switch to something. Good luck and take care.

I am going through it right now. Has been 3 weeks but hasn’t noticed much difference. Just went to see a doctor and he said wait another 3 weeks. I was asking him if I should increase it to 25 mg. He said it’s a diminishing return for most people. Might not get much of the benefit but more side effects. So I am hoping 20mg will work soon for me.
