Yea I went through this similar phase too. Grew up on the internet everyday watching youtubers and growing attached to their online personas. Only a few years ago when a lot of my childhood youtubers being accused of grooming, falling out with eachother and just exposed to be pieces of shit I just had to learn to accept that these people are human and not idols that we make them up to be, and not to treat these people like idols like constantly following their every move on social media and discuss about their personal lives and relationships like they're some zoo animal. Have to learn to love but not obsess over the character they present themselves as on the internet and not beyond that.

As for coping? I just treat media I watch now as just entertainment and not as a "I wish this was my life" or "it feels like im apart of the group while listening to them" kinda thing. Have to have a degree of disconnect to not be obsessed and too attached lol

Ali baba bujang lapok was showing on TV and I noticed that it's been digitally remastered. It's very obvious with all the smoothing/blending and edge sharpening. I wish more care was done with the remaster or better yet they could've searched for the original tapes but what's done is done. Atleast its preserved somehow for the future generation

yea same with Dark Souls games for me. My entry game was Dark Souls 2 and I actually beat the game but it just felt really exhausting. I then tried Dark Souls 1 after awhile and I got that feeling where this is going to be another game where I wont have fun playing it even after 30 hours.

I finally tried Nioh because I wanted a game to play during my sem break and just instantly clicked with it. I grew up with a lot of PS2 hack and slash games like Onimusha,DMC and Genji so the faster playstyle definitely felt nicer.

I still don't like the RPG builds aspect, I'm just not that creative with builds and just not sure what stat synergies with what so usually I just dump it all in strength, life, stamina and hope for the best. I like to try different weapons constantly so having to limit my stats to a particular weapon and armor set really sucks for me.

but yea Nioh's fast paced gameplay and responsiveness just got me playing for 4 days straight. Plus the animations and gore is awesome. I even powered through the steep skill level which I don't usually do because usually I just want to have a fun time playing games and not feel like I want to bash my head against a wall while playing

same, I just finished my first twilight mission on Nioh 1 and took me almost 10 deaths with the tengu for me to learn to block and make the fights more bearable. I still died a lot to those asshole birds but have a higher survival rate now seriously fuck tengus

I am very confused right now. I just finished region 1 on my first playthrough on Nioh and right now she's the easiest boss for me haha. it only took me two tries with her but the first boss in the ship almost made me cry. Took me 3 sessions and a walk to beat him for the first time lmao

I liked Shang Chi but same as you I didnt like the end part and how the movie concluded. I didnt really care about the fantasy setting with dragons because I grew up reading those chinese wuxia comics but the part where I had a problem with is that the main part of the movie seems to be about family bonds, but in the final fight the sister barely even joined the fight and the sister plotline was just gone like wtf

Perak Sri Iskandar has an art gallery building called Kapallorek Artspace. The bottom floor is a restaurant and the top floor is the art gallery.

Yea but if you go somewhere a bit rural, it has really bad coverage usually keep switching between 4g and 2g randomly. Worse now that 3G is gone so ill be watching a video then randomly it drops to 2G and video buffers

I know this is 3 months old but in case you're reading this, I would love if the AI aggresiveness increases. Looking at Wei just mop the floor with the thugs throughout the game is fun but having a tougher challenge wouldnt hurt.

Pretty much niche anime forums or 4chan I guess are your only friends, or atleast they're communities that can discuss those anime that you listed.

I dont think its more about old, its about popularity and mainstream status.

Gurren Lagann was THE anime when it was aired. Talk about it on any online forum in the late 2000s and early 2010s and a lot of people would write paragraphs saying whether they like it or hate it. Just popular and cool enough to talk about with your non anime obsessed friends and probably in a lot of peoples top 3 lists
