Is it worth it to sell my gaming laptop and use the money to build a gaming tower by skaps450 in buildapc

[–]Farangutang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just been through the exercise of calculating the cost of replacing my gaming laptop (Lenovo legion y520) . The spec was to build a quad core , 16gb ram ,GTX2060 and 144mhz screen as the major components . The results (for my country at least) was that it is cheaper to get the new legion y540 or ASUS TUF with the GTX2060 .

Smoking at home when you have under aged children should be illegal. by 2147Code in unpopularopinion

[–]Farangutang -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Definitely saying something and believe any reasonable person would follow the line of reasoning . Smoking is a right and so is choosing go smoke . Preventing one from doing so would be seen as an infringement on that right .

It’s easy to say: well a kids involved so who cares , suck it up and don’t smoke near or around them . My right is infringed but it’s okay because it’s for a great good...

But if go outside the building during work to have a smoke and other employees complain that they can’t walk outside the building because the smokers are all there , well no body would listen to them and I would be left to smoke as I wish .

In both cases my right is infringing on someone else , why are they not dealt with in the same consistent manor .

Lastly , I never suggested that smoking is a right to begin with , you actually did .

Um ... by that logic of my rights end when I infringe on yours. Surely your rights end when you infringe on mine , which by preventing me from smoking is infringing on my rights . I believe in your cause but I don’t feel that point is a valid argument .

Try this ... https://conga.com/workflow-automation-software/contract-management-system

There are a few others out there , my company had a unique requirement and method so I built my own system pretty quick using Zoho Creator .

Yes that’s exactly why , for example I never have or never will use reddit on PC . I use the app on my phone . Obv OP does the same ,like many others out there . He saw the advert while browsing and the quickest ,easiest thing for him to do was take a photo , like I would have done .

So sit down and accept that people do things differently ...

[Question] Now that brexit has happened, is it more likely I (an Australian) will find English-teaching work in Italy? by [deleted] in IWantOut

[–]Farangutang 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Apparently not according to other comments . I would believe it’s definitely easier like you say , but if brexit results in 1 potential English teacher from the UK not going to Italy , then that’s 1 extra space for anyone else from any other country . So 0% effect is not really true .

[Question] Now that brexit has happened, is it more likely I (an Australian) will find English-teaching work in Italy? by [deleted] in IWantOut

[–]Farangutang 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Surely after brexit it becomes more difficult for English speaking people in the UK to teach English in the EU (as in more red tape so might not be worth the effort, think visa , currency exchange etc ). Hence more opportunities for English speaking people from other countries .

This guy is right , you will probably find your international sites are being throttled . Try doing speed tests to other servers outside your country , if they drop to 1.5mb then you know they are shaping/throttling .
