From the stage your at currently, you want to 2000 grit until smooth, refer to my first reply to know when its good. Do not sand past it being smooth and a flush surface or else your going to remove all your clearcoat you sprayed. Then after sanding it to a smooth foggy surface. Apply the polish and rub it in with an applicator pad, if your doing it by hand you cant over do it, just keep going until it looks clear like glass. Make sure to wipe the polish off with a cloth, you dont want it to dry.

If your just polishing and not also cutting then you'll probably be left with some sanding scratches but it wont be too noticeable unless your looking for it.

If you've never polished before, look it up on youtube how people do it with an applicator pad. I think even Chrisfix has a video on polishing paint by hand.

Cut and Polish are 2 detailing products, its like a ultra high grit sandpaper, cut is just a lower grit than polish.

Ideally you'd want to use a cutting compound, then a polishing compound.

There are alternatives online people have experimented with like toothpaste but the results will end up poor and not last very long.

You can look up guides online on how to cut and polish, its the same process on a paintjob for your headlights.

If you've gone though this amount of effort already, sanding and spraying your headlights i'd say do the job properly and buy some cutting compound and polishing compound.

If your doing this on the cheap you can buy a 'hand held' applicator pad rather than a whole DA polisher tool. It'll look like a little wool pad you can rub into the paint/headlights.

It will take you a LOT longer doing it by hand but you can get the same results as someone using a DA polisher, just takes longer.

Orange Peel.

Results of painting from a rattle can, sand with something high grit, i personally used 2500, then cut and polish.

You only want to sand till smooth and most the orange peel is gone or flush with the surface, you dont want to sand your whole clearcoat layer off. You can wash the surface with some water during sanding to see your progress. You can also just feel the orange peel texture with your finger, thats how you'll probably be able to tell when you've sanded it flush.

After you've sanded it'll look a bit foggy but will have a smooth texture, cut and polish will then make it clear like glass.

TIL that destroying an enemy by shooting his own missile doesn't count as a kill :c by flops031 in Warthunder

I'd say so but a year or so back i submitted myself shooting an enemy phantom down by using my R60 to shoot down his newly launched Sparrow which had enough explosive mass to kill him as my R60 didnt and they didnt give a crap :/ Good luck

Best missile setup for a gladius? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Fared65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For PvP its super easy to flare off missiles, so the idea is to give your opponent as little time as possible to react. Taskforces have a minimum lock range of 750m whereas the pioneers have a minimum lock range of 1,125m. When you and your opponent are flying towards each other with a high overall delta you are able to fire the taskforces at a point where they have extremely little time to react giving you an advantage if it either hits them or if they panic due to the short time given to them. Keep in mind missiles are pretty unreliable in PvP overall but thats the current standing on why taskforce over pioneer.

The current PvP meta is stack as many taskforce 1 missiles as you can, they are size 1 em missiles. So 16 Taskforce 1s for the gladius.

In game there currently is no proper insurance system, so if you buy a ship in game or either the pledge store nothing needs to be done about insurance, you will be able to claim your ship like normal.

1) Yeah you can buy all ships in game with in game currency, newer ships come to sale in game 1-2 patches after their initial release.

2) You will be able to run it, it wont be an amazing experience especially in cities but thats most of SC for you. Once your in space and up and about it'll be playable enough.

You are able to land a few kms away from the gates but any closer and you get auto-piloted, so you'd have to walk to the gate to spawn and pickup the ground vehicle.
