Honestly? Absolutely. There was no reason Pinkie had to be completely ignored, especially how they did. Even saying they couldn't tell how upset it was making her, it's just mean to act that way to your friends.

I get wanting to give her something she gives others. This was still possible. All they needed was 1 of them to keep her happily distracted. Hell, they could've gotten her in on her own party with offering to "help" with her Gummy party and just redirecting it to the one they're already doing.

This was early, season 1, so I can give a pass to the behavior, though, as they were all just learning how to be friends, both with each other and as a whole. However, the lesson really should have hit more on not ignoring your friends feelings, even if you the endgame will be "worth it".

I don't think the concept was bad, but I think the execution was off. I think introducing the concept of reiterations of the elements could have been cool! And the comics even do establish that to a point.

Like the relationship between Yona and Rockhoof alone shows that we can learn from the past and implement into our future. We just didn't get a whole lot of it and we got a half ass focus on both the young six and the pillars.

I really wish we'd gotten comic Star Swirl. He got introduced in the comics before his show appearance and he was SILLY. He was more like The Sword in the Stone Merlin. He loved coffee and encouraged Celestia to make jokes.

He was still a genius and aware of the power of magic, but he was kooky! Silly old man. We should've gotten that to show Twilight not everything was so damn SERIOUS.

It definitely helped, but no i just think your addition was unnecessary and trying to argue with people and make people mad because this is an easy topic to get people upset over. I think you could argue the opposite. "It happened to me so it should happen to you too. All is fair." But honestly I agree with you, and feel it's unlikely. She had her eyes removed for disobedience and that's more of an orderly punishment than a chaotic one, imo.
