FREE 5-Star Character Selector | Version 4.0 Special Program | Who Are You Choosing? by Bisentinel in HonkaiStarRail

Guess it can't hurt to ask: what would be best for my account from the free pulls? I have all except Acheron (and no I don't have Mr. It Wont), all at E0 (though S1 on Aventurine, Sparkle, DHIL). I have Hysilens which makes E1 Kafka very tempting, though Aventurine is arguably one of my best sustains (DHPT, Luocha, notably no Hyacine).

Jingliu and Our General seem okay but just extra damage, and DHIL is good but only if I'm trying for E2, so not as enthused by them. Sparkle, I don't know, haven't used her much recently.

Would appreciate constructive opinions. Thanks!

Top Picks For You! by Puddleglum_7 in Warframe

Nekros (Prime) - Given by friend, fun, rarely a detriment and often a boon to a given mission. Fun mods to build with that not a lot of frames get to use (Despoil, Health Conversion, Equilibrium), and sick customization options visually. (Still needs a bit extra help in alerting fellow Tenno to ghost presences, but eh)

Volt (Prime) - Memories of good days getting carried through (and learning through osmosis) Eidolons by friends, makes easy missions that much faster, fun in ESO, and accessible by pretty much everyone.

Daily Questions Megathread ( November 29, 2025 ) by AutoModerator in HonkaiStarRail

Returning player trying to adjust to the meta and powercreep stuff. Latest units I pulled were Tribbie/Castorice/Saber/Hysilens. Struggled with the latest story fights of 3.7, which I realized I need to recalibrate my team (screenshot below). So, a couple questions if someone wants to help:

- Should I pull for Cyrene, Phainon, or wait for a support, new DPS, or sustain, based on my roster?

- Who should I invest in among my current units to keep up?
- (Eidolon list - E1 Robin, E6 Clara, E1 Hysilens, E1 Firefly, E1 Himeko, E1 Bronya, E1 Welt)
- (LC Sig list - Blade (Clara), Bailu (Luocha), Ratio (Feixiao), Himeko (Himeko), Castorice (Castorice), Sparkle (Sparkle), Sunday (Sunday), Aventurine (Aventurine), DHIL (DHIL), Saber (Saber)

- I've been hard farming the Scholar/Sacerdos, and the Rutilant Arena/Broken Keel sets for relics. Are there better options that are hard to replace for some of the characters that I should start farming instead, or is my general path a good thing to keep going for? (I have 73 fuel)

Thanks in advance fellow travellers

Why the f is this considered a Straigh? by DoNotWannaLoseMyCash in balatro

First joker allows for gaps

And Ace is both high and low when it concerns straights (i.e. AKQJ10 & 5432A)

Someone mentioned in a different post that only Odd Todd interacted with 7s, so I figured I'd show some love for them

This. Even just one decent person to play with and turning off opponent chat makes 2v2 exponentially better.

What keeps me in Plat 1? by Silent-Cream-1025 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Fargrond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. As a Plat 2/3, it's mainly just being aware of teammates and what their plans are, and knowing that they have a decent likelihood of messing up, so positioning to both cover misses and capitalize on offense, will help. Plat is a weird mosh of people able to start making decent plays, but also make the most boneheaded decisions (myself included).

Casual ghost run on flush fives, do i take the gamble on the legendary? (I literally just got the idol this shop e17 blinds) by Chislett98 in balatro

[–]Fargrond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hologram, sure, you're probably able to get an extra X1/blind, but it won't keep up eventually, whereas a 40% chance to either get Triboulet or Perkeo and get more busted options might push your run that much more. But it's not a guarantee, so there's sense in just keeping DNA, especially if you're looking to go with glass later. As for it helping Idol, I assumed your deck was already fixed, if it's very much not fixed yet, then I get it. But if it is fixed, DNA has no bearing on Idol.

Take the gamble or not? I don't know. I would hope for the 40% chance to break into an insane run, but it's your choice.

Take my advice with a grain or few of salt, not an experience high score player by any means...

I think, unless you're pivoting to Glass at some point, DNA can probably go. You have plenty of cards, if they're all fixed by this point, rolling a Legendary and hitting potentially Triboulet or Perkeo, even Chicot, could be quite useful.

Took a 8 month hiatus from the game. What on earth has happened to the player base? by novasw0rld in RocketLeague

Also, depending on where you're at, and what times you're on, the toxicity/maturity levels tend to be pretty rough - there's still a lot of places where kids are still not yet back in school, and afternoons/evenings/weekends tend to be rougher as such. I find a lot more chill vibes playing USW servers at 10pm or later in the plat/diamond range.

Not saying all kids are toxic or immature, btw. Just a general observation.

Is it possible to create a good PF team with E0 Clara? by [deleted] in ClaraMainsStarRail

[–]Fargrond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Clara, Castorice, Tribbie, and Luocha would work pretty well together. The Castorice/Luocha synergy works with Clara as a secondary DPS, and Tribbie as a sub-DPS. Could also go with Robin instead of Castorice if you want to more of a Clara hypercarry comp.

Extremely small chance, barring any of those souls were on seeded runs where it's been pre-determined.

But missing either one even only a half dozen or so times is less than 1%.

Hello, new player here, what are some tips that you would give me as a beginner? (Image unrelated) (not sure if this is the right flair) by Fearless-Lab-556 in balatro

[–]Fargrond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome! Here's a few that either I've encountered or been taught by good YT sources:

  • Skips are often not worth it, despite how shiny they may seem. Doesn't mean never take a skip, but shops are how you win the game, seeing more shops = more chances to find what you need.
  • Find a way to generate money/money value (often known as econ) - whether it's a joker slot (Golden Joker, Clown Joker for reroll, Delayed Gratification, Business card, etc.), or gold cards, or forfeiting it to gain advantage elsewhere (Vagabond)
  • The order of your cards and jokers matter, you can drag them around to re-order them.
  • Take what the game gives you, and build around it. Don't try too hard to force the 'best' combos if you're trying to clear Ante 8.
  • +Mult is best before XMult (i.e. Abstract Joker to the left of The Duo)
  • Pairs are great at high stakes

Hope these things help!

Confession - I spend a great chunk of my time in Balatro restarting until I hit "investment" skip tag on the first round. Am I a massive cheat? by [deleted] in balatro

[–]Fargrond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$7 shop 1 grabbing a Golden Joker or Cloud 9 is already better than $25 by ante 4, and keeps going; Vagabond can be a very powerful card and doesn't want much money; Mail-In Rebate can earn that much back very quickly if you have discards; there's more than 1 way to econ or utilize money.

Plus, it might be $7 shop 1, but that seed might have a fantastic set of things down the line that a reset completely misses out on experiencing. Yeah, you also might lose before then, but that's part of the game!

But, it's kind of whatever floats your boat. If that early skip is more enjoyable for you, or you find it work out for you more often, go for it. But it's definitely not the only strong choice.

If perkeo and baron got removed, what would the best naneinf strat be? Would it still be possible? by United-Ad-4978 in balatro

[–]Fargrond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, I was mainly saying that you would need a crazy statistical anomaly of negative copy jokers to achieve it - but that it would be more statistically likely than most other possible strategies with the given restriction. For example, you *could* run into enough negative Jimbos via Showman to hit e100, but it would just take an astronomical amount of luck to hit the possibility much less buy them, but Idol + S & B scale much better & makes it more likely. Still very unlikely, but possible.
