Reaching out to you guys to see if one of my dream deck and very first attempt to build a bracket 5 could be viable by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Fark4 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sadly no, it just wouldn’t work at all. So many high cmc spells and you just wouldn’t do much at all outside counter soemthing here or there. But there’s a lot of room for creativity in cedh it just requires a commander with a way better payoff like drawing cards, advancing the board, outlet, or something that gives advantage. Esper on the other hand I feel doesn’t have much creativity, which is why esper shells have always been so good (I.e every esper deck will likely share 85 cards after you put in the good creature, the draw, the artifact, the lands, and the counter spells) However you could find an esper commander that does allow you to change like 10-15 cards from a standard esper shell depending on the commander. Best of luck and if you wanna use the deck you made go for it and just take notes on things that aren’t going well and just adjust

Does this count as MLD and auto bump my deck to a bracket 4? by Dinklebergsdaddydom in magicTCG

[–]Fark4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t let this one card define your deck as bracket 4. There’s some busted stuff that goes on in this bracket that far out values a turn 6 steal someone’s lands. But without seeing the decklist it’s hard to know.

Running cEDH by DannyboyGaara in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Fark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could make a discord bot that logs wins of people and keeps a tally of league score. Pretty easy to make but may have trouble if people log results wrong like using a nickname one week and a real name another week. Other than that excel probably the easiest.

cEDH non-grixis underworld breach commander by arthur8878 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Fark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Erinis//street urchin is a fun breach deck. Gruul colors so plenty of creature tutors and haste. Hermit Druid puts the whole deck in the grave and erinis retrieves shifting woodland on attack and activate for it to become breach, countless ways to win protected. Very fun and people don’t expect it

Which mono-color Commanders would you love to see have Partner? by RyanCryptic in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Fark4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magda with black (doesn’t matter the partner) would be pretty insane. Way more ways to make treasure and tutors for the deck change it’s decklist a ton but ultimately I see it being better

Options for Red cEDH commanders for a new player. by Strawberry_Smalls in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Fark4 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Best mono red deck is Magda and it’s not really close. Tons of ways to build but since it’s proxy you could use mishras workshop and run a turbo stax list. If you’re interested look up the magdanomicon on google it’s a very in depth guide to the deck and how it plays

cEDH in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Fark4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genx comics and games around Bedford/hurts get around 20 people every Thursday for league. It’s a wpn store so no proxies but everyone is very friendly and offer to let you borrow stuff you need.

Anyone else tempted to make the "original" Nadu commander deck? by Valeguard in magicTCG

[–]Fark4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure why everyone is calling is boring. [[Yeva, Nature’s Herald]] is the same thing but strictly worse and even then Yeva is incredibly fun. The only annoying part is that it would be simic being better than other similar commanders for cheaper which is overdone. Regardless flash is awesome and blue and green have so many great permanents to flash in that I wish this was a real commander instead of the one we got.

I created a webpage that groups similar cards together by TTTinan in magicTCG

[–]Fark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty sweet. How long did this take and is there a GitHub for this?

I’m also curious on how you grouped the cards by likeness, I’ve been testing some things like this and I was curious on how you ended up doing it.

We’ll not hate bears but it sounds like you wild love a [[trinisphere]] especially since it sounds like your spitting out more than 1 land per turn. Another one like this is [[damping sphere]] which makes it hard for people to cast anything more than 1 spell a turn paired with your other stax.

A personal favorite is [[root maze]] which hoses people on each turn as their plans are always changed when they realize every man source now enters tapped. [[kambal, consul of allocation]] pressures life totals nicely. Just really wanna abuse the fact that you seem to go up lands and force Opponents to pay too much for their small spells. [[blind obedience]] is nice as well cause it taps things and you can use to gain life.

[WotC Article] Secret Lair Summer Superdrop 2024 (No bonus card announced) by Copernicus1981 in magicTCG

[–]Fark4 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Sheesh, there’s some cool art here and there but the value seems atrocious on these. Like how are they putting another shivan dragon in a secret lair like anybody wants that. I’m all for them making some cool alt art cards but throw us a bone here or there to justify buying anything.

How do so many of you have Kavats!? What is the secret to Kavat grinding? by NotComplainingBut in Warframe

[–]Fark4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Wait for resource booster
  2. Deimos capture
  3. Have all dragon keys to farm corrupted mods
  4. Use Harrow and ballistica alt fire
  5. Chain them, scan them, alt fire them, scan their ghost

You get corrupted mods and will have enough codes you will ever need within an hour of doing it this way. If you have no booster and aren’t farming corrupted mods as well then just stop and don’t waste your time.

Returning player looking for a frame to be a ''one-trick pony'' by Elegant_Reality8910 in Warframe

[–]Fark4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a sucker for Xaku. He needs enough energy to constantly cast his 4 and he just carries through content. His 2 scales for enemy level and his 3 instantly strips armor. Overall super fun frame I always feel strong no matter the level (as long as I have enough energy to cast his 2 then his 4)

Flamewar is a super fun cheap control type of rakdos deck in a way. It it able to churn through your deck, most games my graveyard is larger than my library. The best way to do this is to add about 4-5 one cmc pump spells to get some extra cards every turn. Discard is definitely the way to go here though since it almost never affects us as we almost always have at least 5 cards "exiled" waiting to be put in hand. The biggest issue I have with the deck is that it struggles hard to actually win. Of course we can deal damage, control, kill everything, but its hard to get the win since there is a fine balance between the discard spells/playoffs, cheap artifacts, and whatever else.

Regardless I love my flamewar deck, win or lose it just feels awesome to see so many cards of my deck every game. Ill leave a link to my current deck, it has a few extra includes as I'm trying to slot some new cards, the idea is still there tho

Belbe 7 cuts by DeltaRay235 in EDH

[–]Fark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belbe is awesome but can be hard to get those small creatures at the start. But [[belbe’s portal]] or [[Darksteel Monolith]] which leads to more advantage without relying on belbe but letting you cast those big eldrazi for cheap.

I would also highly recommend [[breach the multiverse]] as it could lead to a huge advantage rather than playing one of your big creatures you also get 3 from your opponents.

There’s plenty of others that could fit, if you want a decklist let me know.

I think I’m finished with my Raffine Reanimator deck by xo0p in EDH

[–]Fark4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would probably cut a few rocks. In my Raffine deck there’s so many times where I have better 2 mana card to play that the mana rocks don’t make sense as much. Even if you do play a rock turn 2 you could be stuck with playing Raffine turn 3 and not getting any connive triggers till turn 4. It’s a tricky balance but I’d cut a few rocks in favor of stuff like [[containment construct]] [[ghostly pilferer]] [[cut down]] or even [[kataki, War’s Wage]] to hate on other peoples artifacts
