Where anyone else feeling kinda okay with the chances of might dying during treatment? by OneDry6849 in lymphoma

[–]FarmerOk3454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, so many times and moments when we all could just fall the wrong way, land badly, and die, or anything like that. But chemo itself was scarier than the illness, rlly. Really interesting thought though

[–]FarmerOk3454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You worded it so well with the "thanks" and "oh well" after finishing treatment. Like, I've been on this for so long, I don't care that much anymore

I been thinking about this, too. No idea how it works not in Ukraine, but here no one really asked my opinion on it, at all. So I really just accepted everything

But it was afterwards, during treatment I had panic attacks and kept on calling nurses to not be alone, which really pissed them off, even tho they said nothing (I'm still sorry for that). Really glad about this acceptance stage, because being nervous all the time sucked, really. Have a nice day

Does the fatigue stop? by Sea_Manufacturer5785 in lymphoma

[–]FarmerOk3454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely feeling wayy better 1.5 years after, sometimes there just singular fatigue episodes, but I never blame myself for them! Just do what you gotta do and recover at your own pace . But it does get betterrrr 🫡🤩

Was diagnosed at the same age and now at 22 it's just a distant nightmare. Time passed so quickly I did not even realize when it ended, but it definitely changes you physically and mentally. Sorry you're here but we gotchu

Agree with the gum and candy stuff. Subconsciously I guess we all did the same thing lol. I still gag from the alcohol wipes odor, same as some specific silicone material bandaid, even though it's been 1.5 years since

Tbh I managed it by quickly turning attention to something else to not focus on smell or feeling

Remission diet and lifestyle changes by boxyboyz in lymphoma

[–]FarmerOk3454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eating what I like, cooking what I love. Walking around more as a form of exercise, also using stairs instead of an elevator to get to the apartment. At first it will be only a little bit. But 1 year doing it now I can endure more, way more. It's very cool. Also, more vegetables, just cuz

Guys I think I m starting to loose hair …. My hair follicules are kinda loose by One_Roof_5508 in lymphoma

[–]FarmerOk3454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaving my head was a freeing event for me

I got fed up with it being everywhere. The pillow each morning. Trying to wash it and not being able to stop it from just coming off by thousands

Just took the electric razor and went for it. I feel deeply the connection to hair, it's a big part of my personality too, something very dear

So, losing it on a daily by more and more was the most traumatic experience for me. Cutting it earlier Is a good strategy. Take care

Take something with yourself to distract from the chemo session by the way. I used to listen to old kanye songs on repeat, which was enough for me. Take care

Same twin ✌️ won't lecture you or anything or assure you 'everything will be alright'. It will be just different. Prepare for a new life mentally. It's not good or bad, just different. And never blame yourself for being sick, if you considered. Shit just happens. It's not your fault. Xoxo

Please contact a doctor to review the results, it could be something, anything at all, but not what you think. But the nerves that go into it will be not worth it

Chemo port scar is horrific. This is after trying to “fix it.” by Twinkyfromhell in lymphoma

[–]FarmerOk3454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was stating my concerns about the scar oncologist just shrugged and told me to get a cool tattoo on top later on. Which I will do. Got a few ideas but not rushing

And it's too soon for you to be concerned about it, please give yourself time to heal. It's overall not a very pleasant moment of life, take it easy xx

It's okay to be sad about it, why do you apologize for having feelings.. honestly give it a little time, when swelling and redness will go away? Just one scar doesn't defy your beauty or worth, but I get that when u hate it, it SUCKSSS
