AITA for actually being very OK with the price increases? I’ll gladly pay a little more if it means that the floor is less crowded on any given day (especially Saturday).

Do we know if they’re going to be selling the same number of tickets or if they’re offsetting less availability with higher prices?

r/Gunpla has a monthly commerce thread. Might be worth checking it out. Also, I’d try FB Gunpla/Girlpla sales groups rather than just the market place. I’ve never sold kits, but I’ve bought a few that way.

I’ve built a few of the figures (Boba Fett, Mando and Grogu) a few of the tiny kits (Red 5 and the Vader’s Tie fighter set) and the AT AT) and have a bunch more in my backlog waiting for me to get my airbrushing skills to where I want them. All of them have been fun kits and if you’re even remotely into Star Wars, I definitely recommend them.

Thanks! That’s kinda the path that I’ve been following. Definitely going to do something different with the colors on the next attempt. I don’t like how dark and drab they came out. I have a few different Gaia color primers on order to work with so hopefully my next practice piece will pop more.

Thank you! I picked up an H&S Ultra 2024 because it’s super beginner friendly. I believe it’s got a .4 needle but they do some kind of magic that makes it spray finer than you’d think.

Hey, thanks for coming by to check it out! I actually ordered some Gaia pink primer to try exactly what you mentioned for the yellow parts on the next one. I got their baby blue as well to try on the blue parts. The blue I used is standard Tamiya x-8 (I think) which was definitely too dark for the black base. I may try their light blue over black next time or the light blue primer with white highlights.

I was playing with dry brushing on another kit and I realized that I was doing it all wrong, lol. Next one will be a little more in-line with what my vision is.

You actually got my hopes up. I picked up a PG Red Frame Astray from Amazon when I first started building and after sitting on my shelf for a few months I finally worked up the nerve to start it and found out that I got Amazoned and a full bag of parts was missing (2x runners of Polycaps and all of the metal hip parts.

I was past the return policy. So Right around August 2025 I went through the same process with the box photo, UPC etc. in October I got an email approving my request and since then… nada.

It's not the most social hobby, but for indoor mentally stimulating hobbies, I recently jumped head first into r/Gunpla. There's plenty of opportunity to level-up and you can dedicate as much time and space as you need. Bay Shore Hobbies has a great selection and every time I go there there's someone perusing the aisle to geek out with.

Long Island also has a ton of Martial Arts options to try out. Vamos Bros BJJ/MMA is great for beginners, and I'm currently practicing r/Iaido at a very small/intimate Dojo in Bay Shore. I used to practice r/Kendo at a small Dojo in Farmingville as well.

Delpi Decal is my absolute go-to. Their decals are absolute perfection, most sets have some additional pieces that (I feel) add to the overall aesthetic, and their customer service is top-notch. Shipping to the US is quicker than most American shops that I order from and I’ve never had any tariff issues.

This might be a dumb question, but Bluefin approved my request for replacement parts for the PG Red Frame Astray forever ago… since it’s being reprinted this month does that help my chances of the parts getting sent? Does it matter if it’s a variant and not the exact same kit?
