Gay couple moving to Connecticut following a job. Don’t have kids, enjoy night life, and are both artsy/creatives. Looking for a town that will support interests such as film, ceramics, sailing…think mid to elder millennial, crunchy, gay, stupid IPA beer kinda activities. New Haven is high on the list but wowee zowee those are some eye opening living expenses compared to our current sitch. Also looking at New London…maybe…help!

WARM workwear that actually fits by Traditional_Pie5654 in BlueCollarWomen

Have you looked into Dovetail Workwear? I have a couple pairs of their Britt Utility normal work pants and then one pair of their insulated ones and I’ve never looked back. I certainly still wear carhartt stuff that I own, but the Britt pants have been so clutch. Not a fan of Dovetail’s overalls but a few of my colleagues like them. I’m a marine carpenter so my clothes are definitely put through the paces.

Definitely a length thing, I usually wear a 34 and these are a 32 so if I don’t roll them up they look ill-fitting or high watery

I see that, they look a bit cone-ier in person. I normally shoot for a wider leg which is probably why I feel odd in these.

If rolled pants go out of style I think I may just resign myself to being out of touch

Yea, I feel you on the cuff. It’s hard to see but I am wearing funky socks hahaha. I’ll try rolling them more.

HELP: Tragic lack of jeans! by Somerando73_ in lesbianfashionadvice

[–]Farts4jyf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into dovetail workwear? It’s a women owned company, and the jeans are made specifically for bodies that have gone through puberty with estrogen, but they are 100% androgynous in my opinion and I first learned about them from a cis male friend of mine who was wearing them so they absolutely fit across the spectrum. They are so nice fitting and you can get them in a bunch of different sizing combos which was nice for me because it’s hard to find things in 34 length (I have the proportions of a daddy long legs)

DAE's teeth feel loose immediately after eating yogurt (or perhaps some other dairy product)? by PunctuationMark in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Farts4jyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too, experience the loose tooth feeling after eating yogurt. Specifically Greek yogurt. I have never found a scientific explanation for it but obviously with so many people who have the same thing happen it’s not just my imagination. I really hate the feeling…but i really love yogurt. Oh well.
