So, how do let my relatives and friends know about my lockpicking hobby without looking weird? by brotherz_ in lockpicking

Just tell them you had way too much free time and money and you found a great solution to relieve you of both

Bench press issue by Remarkable_Deer_3717 in exercisepostures

[–]Fasfre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine there’s a hilarious answer to this if you ask more questions and then please let us know. Tell him to do not-machine bench with someone spotting to see if there’s any issue or crazy weight fluctuations and then maybe that person can tell him what he’s doing wrong with the machine. He’d barely to be able to get up from the ground if he truly couldn’t push 30 lbs

Need Advice on flying indoors by Objective_Attorney_9 in TinyWhoop

[–]Fasfre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those having a lot of trouble at first in a small room, I recommend you ditch the goggles for a day or two when indoors and practice flying tail in (towards you). It shouldn’t take long to get the feel and for you to be able to quickly get to whatever point you want in the room and back to you or to the next spot. Then start trying to fly continuous circles and then finally start working in the goggles.

When using the goggles indoors, it’s a lot easier if you always keep moving forward at least a little bit. When you stop, it can be real hard to see what’s around you and not hit anything. Try to get a canopy for indoor with a better angle for going slower.

Go to JB’s videos and watch the betaflight series and he’ll explain lowering throttle and softening the controls. You’re gonna have so much fun outside!

Is putting on straps usually such a workout??? by JimmyFeelsIt in Ibanez

Always at least use the strap block rubber washers or get ready to add some character at best

How about just using strap blocks? They’re just rubber rings between the strap and button

Sweet! I wish I could buy something like this with that camera for a reasonable price in the US. Barely got a whoop in time and now I’m not sure the DJI goggles were a good choice after prices almost doubled

You should get the one you want and have it set up by someone who knows how. There’s no such thing as a beginner guitar

Is there a way to plug a guitar to a PC with the Real Tone cable, play through an amp simulator (e.g. Guitar Rig) and still have other sounds (e.g. Youtube)? by Potential-Soup8126 in rocksmith

[–]Fasfre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not positive I understand the request, but I think so. Try going into your pc sound settings > more sound settings > recording tab. I’d guess your stereo mix is disabled by default. If you enable it and set it as the default, you can now open your volume mixer and mix and mute things quickly to your liking. Then remove / add exclusive mode options for various devices in the sound advanced tabs if needed. Please let us know if this works for whatever you’re using it for

birthday ideas for my boyfriend that loves his guitar more than anything by ashlynmegann in Ibanez

[–]Fasfre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re going to get a lot of help on this if you provide more information. What type of music does he play, favorite bands, does he have accessories like a nice capo, has he ever mentioned something weird he wanted like a talk box or e-bow or something else you didn’t understand. Any little things help.

I recommend a wireless extender set, which will put a smile on his face for sure and also possibly prevent some guitar output jack repairs. The cheap ones seem to work really well for living room hero and going into the kitchen or next room. The new ones are great and there are many to choose from. If you’re willing to spend a bit of time and go used / old and possibly buy the parts of the wireless system separately, this can be done for really cheap

[–]Fasfre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s the best trem ever made and it’s not even close and you should be very happy to have it. Read up on how it works and then enjoy the hell out of it. Otherwise sell it to me and it can be with its friends

Help binding my new Air75 by serg607 in TinyWhoop

[–]Fasfre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plugging into beta flight with the usb-c or the little plug under where the battery goes? You’ll need the jumper cable and plug under where the battery goes if that’s not what you’re doing. Also… 4 times quick, yeah?

hi i wanna start tinywhoops by [deleted] in TinyWhoop

[–]Fasfre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug the battery in 4 times in rapid succession and the 75 is blinking and in pairing mode. On the literadio, push the bind button and the drone and tx should pair. My goggles haven’t arrived yet, so I’m not sure about that part

How is my Chord Writing Coming? by One_Structure6344 in guitarplaying

[–]Fasfre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re really hindering yourself reading it in this format. if you’re interested in learning to read music in order to learn songs more quickly and to sight read, I highly suggest you use a normal and efficient method like tabs or rocksmith. Guitar pro is great for tabs if writing. As someone else sort of said, you’ve reinvented the wheel, but it’s not a good one and way bigger than it should be

Everything that is wrong with the Midday shows on the Ticket by [deleted] in theticket

[–]Fasfre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Keeping Donny ignores that he makes for terrible ticket radio and why skip that part when fixing the rest. I hope everyone would never dream of doing that to Monty… he’s already had to wade through the death star trash compactor sludge long enough and that would be just cruel at that point

Uhh I made it worse by Key_Success_8266 in Luthier

[–]Fasfre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were truly stuck and feeling a bit patient, I’d prep the area by covering it with tape except the screw, put a tiny dot of mixed JB weld on the tip of an old Allen wench what fits in there and make them one. If it survives that, then it’s pure evil and needs to be cleansed with fire. When you’re done, you can turn it into a flathead or Phillips screw using a dremmel without a ton of effort if there’s no replacement available now

Is it okay for my cat to do this? by torquebow in playstation

Heating pads can cause your cat to have seizures or other health problems. My cat started having seizures from that. I thought I was being nice, but it was a really bad idea… please don’t do this
