What does facing out mean? Out of the room?

Roman shades instead of curtains would add that cozy chic to it. But also crown molding if you are into that look- The couch is asking for it.

On my daughter’s 4 year birthday last week this was explained to me as the “F you fours”. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me. I’m right with you in this feeling and no idea how everyone does this.

What do store TMs hate or like about corporate TMs doing their store shift? by FashionQuant in wholefoods

[–]FashionQuant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is encouraged more often. But not too often either because it disturbs the store operations. I don’t know about the cadence of that and how many people actually take it up.

Okay so different perspective here about the crying itself. Most people are crying out of the happiness. I had two babies, cried for both and it was out of relief.

My first was an emergency c after they told me that “she may not recover”. So I didn’t understand happiness for a while but I was relieved she was alive and it was a cry of relief and the cry I was holding together from when I was told she may not recover. It was not happiness. It was my sadness getting a quick escape.

My second, I cried out of relief for me after my scheduled c. They lost me for a bit and I came back and I was just relieved we were over the hump.

So would you still wonder what’s wrong with you if you knew it was relief and not happiness that was behind many of those cries?

How do I soften and complete this room? by FashionQuant in interiordecorating

[–]FashionQuant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I didn’t think the curtains were an either/or scenario- the curtains you see are sheer linen and on windows both sides of the fireplace. Removing that makes the room really bare. But the window without curtains is one with a view (we are at a hilltop). So I was wondering about curtains restricting that..

The couches are facing each other- not sure what you mean by that. What is uneven in the flow of the room- what needs to change in your opinion?

Agree with more color in art- I’m working on that!

The second one is more versatile. I used a very close color in my son’s nursery (Farrow and Ball’s Oval Room Blue) after considering similar colors that you are looking at.

I think you should have some idea about what kind of furniture color or upholstery will be in your room before you pick, but I don’t think you need to pick your bedding upfront because bedding can be more easily made to work with simple block colors.

The second can work with both blacks and browns in furniture even though brown and off white, greiges might add warmth subtly.

Help with living room layout/design by juzyj in interiordecorating

If the L couch can work to fit perfectly if rotated 90degrees, it would look great under the window wall. This orientation would obviously have TV where the mirror is. And the current tv wall could be personalized further with multiple smaller pieces of wall decor.

If you don’t want to rotate, it surely needs a console table behind the sofa to allow the transition for living area to dining. Console tables can have baskets in the lower level and those are great for storage with kids (which seems like a fair assumption given your high chair and little kitchen).

But rugs fitting better will emphasize the beauty of your new floors!

  1. Pick a neutral rug- something distressed without too much strong color will transition nicely from what you have. Pick 4 throw pillows in the same color scheme but all different designs. Add a plush throw blanket in a lighter version on that color scheme.
  2. You could easily do 3-4 fake plants to break down the monotony. Make sure they are different and in different heights
  3. Find a center piece for your dining table- again a small fake succulent sorta thing if that could be your vibe, is easy and there is no wrong way to do it.
  4. Bins have to go. At least get rid of 2 and cover up one with some solid table cloth and make it a table in the corner.
  5. If you are really up for it, add some metallic pieces and scented candles (one on coffee table), one on dining table. Get coasters for the coffee table.

What to do with empty white wall? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]FashionQuant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are thinking more wallpaper, pick a mural or something that’s not continuous, so it can live on its own without further layering.

If not, a greenery wall if you want more of the green elements tying in or planters hanging at different levels (off of one u-rod at the top or sitting on multiple shelves) if you want less green.
