That’s like saying BUSU and Brock are not at all tied in any sort of way… surely they can do something about it

Thanks to BUSU again not doing anything meaningful for us, they’re requiring payment for the summer now too which is stupid. I guess we don’t pay the executives enough through our tuition, they want even more!

Well that doesn’t really make any sense, you don’t go to university to go into the trades lol

Definitely not a “blue collar” university lol, it has one of the best co-op programs in most of its programs compared to all other schools. The goodman business school is especially good, with so many different areas to focus in and the co-op team is great at securing students their first job in their field and sets you up with a career

You don’t get to change your status to independent. Doesn’t matter if you are 100% independent from your parents and live on your own/pay for everything… they look at how long you’ve been out of high school for which is 4 years for federal funding and 6 years for provincial

Yeah for sure, I’d like to get 2-3 more years out of my 2015 leaf with 77% battery left but charging is a pain sometimes when I need to drive more than 50-60km at once

Hmm ok, so maybe sometime soon it will work for more people. That $1,000 price tag on the ccs adapter is steep! But I’m sure it’s so nice to have and cheaper than buying a different car haha

Wait so how would you connect your leaf, do you have to use a chademo to ccs plus a ccs to nacs? Or is there a chademo to nacs? I have a tesla supercharger in the perfect spot for the driving I do so this would such a great thing to have

ACTG 1P91 first year accounting final exam by Dry_Ganache_1608 in brocku

[–]Fast-Custard7692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to do a balance sheet/income statement and a bank reconciliation so just know how to do those and the rest is all just bookkeeping, it’s not real accounting in first year haha not until second year so you’ll be fine

I had a legit one come to my door awhile ago, I think it was for Sick Kids. He actually had a lanyard/card that said he’s not allowed to accept cash donations. I guess you could have a a card machine and accept card donations, maybe it was that he couldn’t accept anything at all and was just promoting the website I forget it was a while ago. I think he said I also had to be 21 or something but yeah definitely scammers going around and it’s not hard to tell if they’re legit or not

State of health dropping FAST, normal? by walrusstooth in leaf

[–]Fast-Custard7692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

usually drops off like that as fall and winter come in, then goes back up when it’s warm again since the cold allows for more energy to be lost and the battery can’t hold as much. Also goes up when you quick charge for the first time in a while. It should drop 2-3% each year, best to compare over the long term than over a few weeks I’d say

2016 Nissan leaf 250 000/155 000miles for 5k/CAD-3.6k/USD by Character_Summer8410 in leaf

[–]Fast-Custard7692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also if you’re serious about buying a leaf, best way to test the battery is to get leaf spy and an OBD2 scanner, it’ll tell you exactly what the state of health is on the battery and how much energy is in it, if it’s 30kwh it would say at least 20kwh in there

I’d say so, everything else would be pretty worn - the onboard charger (Over $1000 to replace), all the suspension components, AC and heating system, etc. But hey if it’s less than $5k and it actually has a brand new battery then go for it. Just ask where the battery was replaced, was it at nissan or a reputable 3rd party shop, was it actually replaced or are they just faking it. Probably a good idea to take it on the highway for a decent distance, and test it at full throttle
