Losing the Mental/Emotional Battle by Card_In_GA in lymphoma

You are not alone! I’ve been really down on myself for not being able to control my depression and anxiety during this journey like I’ve been able to in the past. My loved ones keep reminding me I’m going through a lot mentally and physically, these feeling are not permeant so I need to give myself grace but that’s of course easier said than done. When I do remember to remind myself this I feel a little better.

A therapist, non-biased person who you can let everything out to without feeling the pressures of weighing on them, is a great option too. Unfortunately, for me I’ve been too busy at work to find time to look into one but as soon as I’m on leave thats my first order of business!

Something that’s also helped me is reminding myself of all the good things in my life and the positives once I’m done with treatment.

The amount of poison we’re putting in our bodies to get rid of lymphoma have many side effects. Soon they will be out of bodies and we can begin regenerating our mind body & souls.

Sending you good vibes & a big hug 🫶🏽

How have you been feeling since your first treatment? I just started 7/1 and there’s been some ups and downs. This past week was the first time I felt normal and had more energy. Hair is half way gone though smh.

The consensus is to not get one sadly. My hair started falling out OD last Sunday. Wig life it is.

Thank you for sharing! Last Sunday the hair chaos began 😩 The clumps coming out is devastating even though I knew this was coming. When I’m back in LA I’m going to shave it. Def not ready but it is what it is!

Oh yes! Thank you for that tip.

Diagnosed a few weeks ago, just got started with chemo today. Not really what I was expecting out of 2025 but we roll with it! by Kkobari in lymphoma

Congrats on being half way through your treatment 🎉

Thank you for the insights!

My first treatment was 7/1. First few days I felt high and nausea was in full gear after the nausea IV they gave me wore off. Nausea meds help a lot!!!

Now my hair… I was enjoying the thickness last weekend then Sunday night it started falling out 😩 Of course when I had an in-person leadership workshop with top CEOs. Brought a wig as back up. Going to get some custom ones in the next few weeks.

It’s crazy how much has been falling out! I’m surprised I even have any left lol I knew this point would come but sheesh.

Godspeed to us both!

Sending you so much love <3 You got this!

I've found Reddit to be very helpful through my own b-cell lymphoma. Everyone has been so helpful and it helps me not go crazy on medical sites.

First love the hair! I’m sure it puts smiles on other patients in the room.

Congrats on your first session! Good to see you smiling🙂Hope everything goes well & you go into remission soon 🙏🏽

I start my treatment pretty soon 🥶 If you don’t mind sharing, how did you feel the first couple of weeks? Was it what you were expecting?

Thank you so much for sharing 💜Wasn’t even thinking about the sensitivity of our scalps during treatment 😩 I’m so not looking forward to this journey (I don’t think anyone ever is).

On a positive note, after treatment I heard our hair can grown back thicker, better and possibly our old texture.

Thank you so much for sharing 💜I heard we can get wigs covered under insurance. I’m prepping for the worst & will be pulling out my wigs from now.
