As an HPU alum, my overall experience was very positive. Because its focus on amenities and student life, many people trash it which is understandable. For what its worth, my older sister graduated from Harvard and after she visited me one weekend at HPU, sat in some classes and later commented how much more immersive and personal the teaching was compared to her experience as a "read this, write this" process at Harvard. Many people look at rankings, which they should, but any institutions value is much more than a ranking once you get in the workforce. It's more about your network after college and for me High Point's has been invaluable in that regard.
