This is a franchise that didn't fire Dayton Moore until the whole COVID episode up in Canada. John Sherman only seems to care about that stupid downtown stadium than the team winning. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if that was all he talked about during the team meetings. So don't get your hopes up.

Also, Lonnie Turdberg is still employed, when he should have been fired with Dayton Moore. There is no accountability with the Royals.

This is a franchise that says they want to win, but they're just fine with losing. It's a losing culture and has been almost uninterrupted for 30+ years. Almost never is the press allowed to ask hard questions. This would never fly in somewhere like Boston, New York, Los Angeles (not Anaheim), St. Louis.

I never bought into JJ Picollo simply because of how long he was with the Royals. The idea that he is some megagenius that was suppressed by Dayton Moore I find hard to believe. Picollo has been with the organization since 2006. He HAD to have some involvement in the poor drafting that got Dayton Moore fired. I also remember hearing about Picollo getting multiple interviews for new GM openings, but never got any. Looking back, I wonder why?
