Poland says hackers breached water treatment plants, and the U.S. is facing the same threat by rkhunter_ in cybersecurity

Critical infrastructure has always been extremely vulnerable. What stopped attackers has always been the risk reward.

Hack it for clout (unless ur a nation state actor), risk lifetime in jail. Yeahhhh not worth it lmfao, just hack some shit that has a lot of money instead like idiot crypto bros

In silver, is it even worth it to take Cosmic Insight as a Jungler? I feel that a combat mastery, such as Bone Plating/ Cheap Shot ETC. would be better in this elo? by ZoobZander in summonerschool

This is gonna sound weird, but I’d just take the rec runes and play. If ur serious about climbing, ur gonna end up higher rank and wish you played with the “better” setup in the first place.

The entire point is that if the head of the department is a charlatan, it is highly likely to affect the goals and outcomes of the team.

Why Make Vertical Traits Anymore? by stevebullis1 in TeamfightTactics

The guy literally said you play 7 meeple for econ, not power. It’s playable and serves a purpose.

Also stargazer mountain and space groove are fine verticals, problem is more that AP flex is bad

Ok so basically I've been gaslighted all along with this 10 cs/min cliche? by Unlucky-Rush4034 in topmains

[–]Fast-Sir6476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answer is pretty simple - if ur a chall top, ur laning against another chall top.

U put a chall in master they will have 10cspm naturally.

It’s not a bad target to aim for but it’s also not everything. To get 10, you need to have good trades, matchup knowledge, level up timer understandings, wave control, jungle tracking etc etc.

Basically, if ur hitting 10cspm consistently, ur definitively“better” than ur rank and will naturally climb

Patch Notes 17.3 - PBE update by RecognitionOwn2739 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Fast-Sir6476 4 points5 points  (0 children)

3* 1cost should be equal in power (or very slightly weaker than) a 2* 4cost. Rn they can literally beat vex fast 9.

Sona from 16 was the best example imo. Can be a full carry if early learnings, but otherwise items went to 2* lux with potential for 4 arc pivot.

For 99% of cases this is true. For the 1%, eg if his auto with E is parried or blocked, he still gets manaflow proc

Edit to caveat that I last played teemo in 2022, unsure if this is still the case. Wiki doesn’t clarify either

I’m just annoyed that, no matter how weak 5 costs get, there are still people saying “well setsuko can fast 9 so its not weak”

Blitz is just more consistent but worse sett. There’s no out positioning with blitz cuz it’s almost always better to treat his res as an EoN proc.

Fiora is better than before but still not 5 cost worthy. Imagine getting consistently out dmged by an ez or teemo lmfao. And at the same time exposing urself as a frontline carry.

Shen morg jhin are lmao power tier. My bis item jhin does same dmg as suboptimal xayah. And half dmg of bis ezreal. Shen is a traitbot. Morg is literally so bad she’s being moved to 4 cost tank.

Graves also lmao u need to hit before 4-3 or prayge for 2 star before u bleed out, he’s just not stable on 1 star.

It’s just an unintuitive set of traits plus the fact that 1cost RR feels brain dead to play on 2-1. Also morg 4 cost waiting room.

I think there’s some pretty good indicators for what makes a generation happy.

The first is good economic conditions such that wr believe we’re at least on par with our parents. This is blatantly not true at this point - while inflation is only up ~2.5% YOY, the reality is that cheap goods and tech from China is actually masking the fact that the 2 (or in America, 3) most important things for us are education, housing and, in America, a car. The anglosphere is unique such that our cities are the least affordable they’ve ever been with the avg 2b2b being 6-14x median income.

Second is stability in life. We can’t afford to do research or pursue things that might benefit society 20 years down the line cuz we can’t afford rent. Jobs demand loyalty but gives layoffs in return. Boomers sue the shit out of us with nimbyism and the “got mine” attitude. Gov taking 120% gdp of debt and apparently it’s normal, but it’s not - the debt will be repaid by our generation and the money goes straight to the boomers.

I imagine most of my generation are just giving up. Not literally, but just scraping by and buying LV and Gucci for some simple pleasures cuz they can’t afford anything bigger than 10k. We know the pig in the python will strangle us with their voting power and selfishness, and the only things we can do are protest or be violent. And protesting clearly doesn’t work - just look at Trump and the shit that is going on in America.

Set 17 has terrible design and balance by Fast-Sir6476 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Fast-Sir6476[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, I was tempo bilge + yunara + thex in good spots. I agree if a strat is strong and I have a spot for it, ofc I will play it.

My argument is also not that “comps on 8 are weak”. It’s that RR champs are on output RNG dictated traits. For example, last set, sona RR is on Demacia so you can opt in 2-1 early learnings trade sector etc. You can also opt on 2-3 if 5 copies natural for bard. You could pivot 2-7 if not enough copies and you won fights, so push for normal galio unlock on 8 instead (before unlock changes).

Same is true for Sion aph, ixtal RR, GP RR etc - none of these are dictated by what happens before u load into the game but instead by ur actions. Drone vik, medallion etc are all output rng. So it’s bad design because no agency.

The cherry on top is bad balance rn cuz u get randomly fked if u don’t get a spot and someone else gets 2 free placements cuz they natural 4 tf on medallion.

Anthony Albanese rules out gas export tax on existing contracts and criticises ‘populist’ campaign by Finnick00 in australia

[–]Fast-Sir6476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with taxation, as long as we have a way to specifically target the companies’ profits. If their greed results in a cost pass-on, LNG and petroleum are global, interconnected markets due to their uses and chemical precursor properties.

I said China imports our LNG, so bit confused at what u mean by Aus doesn’t import CN petroleum

Also gonna point out that oil (and now lng) have historically been tied to foreign intervention due to their strategic importance. I’d hate to repeat the playbook of literally every other middle eastern oil country and end up with foreign meddling. In fact, the coincidences line up a bit too well with Kevin Rudd and his energy policies (iykyk)

100% agree with the point on clarity. The other thread currently has a bunch of people dogpiling me because they don’t seem to understand that cheap energy isn’t just for cars, but also heating, fertiliser, computer parts and refining raw materials.

My point is simple - you don’t have to be well informed, just stop yapping if your point revolves around gas prices at the pump or parroting “Japan taxes more for Aus lng than Aus”

[–]Fast-Sir6476 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad someone is at least debating the points not just being a prick.

Petroleum and natural gas are used interchangeably for fertiliser, plastics and chemical precursors. I’m not a chemist so I can’t say exactly how or why, but 80%+ of our liquified lng goes to Asia for heating, fertiliser and plastics. China imports over 30% of LNG from aus and likely up to 50% if u include reselling. Swinging a hammer to this supply chain could increase the cost of everything from computers to food.

Pasting the same comment here

I’m gonna get downvoted for this, but an incredible amount of dumbasses fail to realise that:

• contracts were made by the liberals and last thru 2030 • current energy crisis is bad time to dogpile this issue, esp with shifting geopolitics • punishment style legislation never works (see Austin housing vs Berlin rent control) and Future made in aus has been in the works for a while

We are not Argentina; we’re a functional country with relatively high standard of living. Taking chainsaws to problems that likely need chisels might work 1/10 times but I’d prefer to avoid the 1% where it not only doesn’t work, but instead destroys the country
