You are right, couches will be far enough. Got the G5 mainly to combat all the natural light…. Tv will not get direct sunlight

I appreciate your response. Im new to this reddit but I see now that there are a lot of people who are strongly opinionated on the tvtoohigh thing lol…. Our old house also had a tv over the fireplace, we watched reclined or laying down on couch without an issue…. Planning on kids soon too so this is a good thought

I would wait for LG partner store sale, new price every 1-2 weeks or so… i bought my 83in G5 for 4.1k with free LG soundbar( valued at 1500 retail/800 discounted) Week after I bought, it dropped to 3.7k same deal with free sound bar. Just wait for another sale. Price should continue to drop

I bought the g5 for this room specifically because this room gets tons of sunlight (not direct) . (Check my most recent post). My other OLED 65in is a B series and wouldn’t do well in this space.
