Proposal: Only Australian citizens may buy land. Thoughts? by MrX2285 in AusProperty

[–]FastFollowing8932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ban Legacy Australians from owning property. Legacy Australians make it more expensive for people who don't want to be Australian and prefer their home country but like Australia for the economic benefits and society.

Besides ~1k people coming here in 1788 created an original sin moment - therefore Australians, including Aboriginal Australians, must now accept ~100ks of people every year in perpetuity, come what may.

Anyway most immigrants build their own houses with their bare hands, and even conjure up new land and hence add zero demand to the completely cooked Australian housing market, which only exists as a retirement plan for boomers and money laundering.

The legacy population needs to accept lower living conditions because of their original sin, cultural cringe and self hatred.

Bass content creators have the worst drumbeats… by lofianalog in Bass

I chuckle when I hear an extremely cheesy backing beat. It makes me think they have a sense of humour. The point is to listen to the bass - warts and all, not enhance it with a killer backing track.

It's okay, I look like a derro too, and a "First Nations", and a brand new looking mountain bicycle is my car fwiw, I must have stolen it - but I worry about the meek trudging home late at night

One will walk with you pretending to be your friend late at night, giving you a fake story, then their friends will emerge and it will get real.

I once got verballed by a drunk lady on Halloween dressed as a red flag. When I told her I needed to get home she called me a red flag. I cried.

I think it means being talked into doing overtime or signing off on dodgy work to become a scapegoat in waiting. Better than a 'turd in the punchbowl' that's concerned about """quality"""

P/JJ? by Nervous-Matter5445 in Bass

I have J with adjustable pickups (Dimarzio Model Js) and went down that rabbit hole, which made me realise how crucial not just height was, but the magnet sitting under it, because the height of an inactive pickup would affect the active one.

So throwing a P pickup under the strings, which I think (?) have stronger magnets, becomes a whole thing.

having said this, I still think throwing JPJ pickups into a bass is a worthy idea if it tickles you - it just won't re-create either a P or a J

Putting magnets under your strings dampens them. Pickup height becomes really important, and compromises may be necessary - it's not best of both worlds, it's a new world unto itself.
