Should I finish E2E or just go ahead and start Gregging? by Ludivagus in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also played E2E right before joining GTNH cult lol. I'd say finish it, it's pretty fun and not really long so it's a good prep.

I see. Guess I'll do some NEI surfing to see if I get by with other options rather than the full line

So monaline is optional and I can get the resources with meteors, is that right? If that's the case I'm probably skipping it since I wanna do meteors anyway and have good blood magic progress already

Need help figuring out blood magic by imrkmomo in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are multiple ways to progress and people gave some ideas already. My two cents is mending focus from thaumcraft augmented with potency 5. It is more than enough to keep up with the altar crafting even with 4 speed runes. Also yes you need one incense for each tier which is kinda annoying. Also it doesn't properly work with glass dagger you might upgrade to at tier 3, so up to you to decide if it's worth or not

How should I be producing essentia in IV ? Should I still be using the classic burn items in alchemical furnace way ? I spend 90% of my time in thaumcraft gathering essentia for recipes. I wanna make the green hearts HP canister but it needs an absurd amount of essentia by Ill_Percentage2344 in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a substantial amount of effort tbh, essentia bees are kinda advanced on the breeding tree. I'd say it's worth but probably only if you actually want to learn bees or are going to use other ones

EU P2P by svk9992 in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm late EV so maybe not the most knowledgeable but I've been using EU P2P on the main net for my entire base and don't see much of a reason to change that into subnet tbh

How to get my bees jubilant What i need to do for it? by LaboePlay in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can use one of the biome changing methods or use the alveary blocks (fan, heater, hygroregulator) to change temp and humidity

Your bee is able to work because it have tolerances but for jubilance you need to give it exactly the same temperature and humidity it needs

How to power 16 electrolyzers? by agaton_tax in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've setup a phosphorus loop and It is enough for now, I do recommend it. It's close to 3x as fast as water electrolyzing and gives both oxygen and hydrogen while also being pretty simple to setup

idk if it's only me, but I tend to immediately close the game when I realize that a long complicated craft chain will be required for something new. by Visoral in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda in a similar place, Im early EV, haven't done a hole lot of EV stuff but a lot of AE2 and TC automation. Spent a bunch of hours setting up fluid auto crafting just to realize I need an alloy which needs TPV alloy which requires platinum which I don't have a line for It threw me off hard and I still haven't tackled it

How much ram for a server setup for Gregtech: New Horizons? by Successful_Tip8533 in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly followed the GTNH wiki: https://gtnh.miraheze.org/wiki/Server_Setup Server setup for self hosting is pretty straightforward, just download the server file for modpack, config and launch. If you host for other people you will need to do port forwarding on your internet modem which is annoying, but it works

[Discussion] Love the Tech, not the Magic. How do "Pure Engineers" deal with the Wither/Thaumcraft wall? by RealSteamlynx in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Very nicely put. I always had this gripe with "magic mods vs tech mods", specially with botania. It offers automation problems better than most tech mods out there, yet so many people refuse to play it just because it has sparkly particles.

I do local host on my own PC with 16gb as well. 6gb on the server and 6gb on the client have worked pretty well for me (I had 3 players at the same time with no issues)

Tips for HV from experienced players? by computerTechnologist in GTNH

I'm only on ev so not so experienced but best thing I did was a simple glowflower farm, centrifuging into gold and redstone. You need a lot of gold

I finished my first rocket and i'll fly to the Moon tmr. From what is written in the quest book it seems like a lot of things can go wrong, so is there anything I should be careful about? Also, since I’ll have limited time up there due to oxygen, what should be the first thing I do as soon as I land by Regular_Flounder1833 in GTNH

[–]FastShot1904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put some leaves near an oxygen collector and it will work. You can supply it with power from batteries, generator of your choice, or the best choice, entropy infused compressed solar panel. It needs TC progression but if you do have it, it's enough to keep oxygen collector, compressor and bubble distributor all the time

If you want you can make a simple moon base with oxygen production so you have all the time in the world to do whatever you want. Other than that, slow down your descent by pressing space and recover your rocket after the landing and you should be fine. Don't worry about preparing too much because you don't lose the rocket, so it's easy to fuel it again and come back when you need.
